Wow. What a nicely done piece.
Disagree about him being able to guard every position 1-5 -- he's no Jimmy Butler as a 1-on-1 defender -- but otherwise no quibbles. A fine story on a fine college player who will make NBA scouts want to find a role for him.
High praise for a tweener :)
Draft Express calls Crowder "possibly the most improved player in college basketball". Exciting forJae, well earned praise that will pay him dividends down the road.
Also exciting for Marquette, since having one of the most improved players in college basketball is the rule since Buzz arrived. Wesley, Lazar, JFB and now Jae - all guys who entered their senior years seemingly destined to be playing in Europe - in (or soon to be in) the NBA. Off the charts player development, just another reason that the future looks bright.
Jae has been skyrocketing up their draft board and is currently their 13th selection of the second round. DJO is their fourth pick in the second round.
