I tend to not post very often so forgive me if this has been discussed already but I haven't seen a thing about Gardner in quite a while, all I ever hear is that he's day to day or game to game?
What's the latest? Is he running? Practicing? Is he coming back at all? Is he totally out of game shape at this point? I know we're clicking right now but it's still a little hard to imagine a deep tourney run without him at least contributing a little.......
You should already know.
He's chillin'.
Not playing, according to the CBS rapid report:
The Golden Eagles will be without 6-8 C Davante Gardner for Wednesday's game at Cincinnati. It's the eighth consecutive game he's missed since spraining his left knee on Jan. 28 at Villanova. "He has yet to practice. He's improving, going through individual workouts. He's progressing," coach Buzz Williams told CBSsports.com's Jon Rothstein.

The double bye in the BET could provide him with some needed practice time

How dare you provide information on here! Mick Cronin is known to use this board for his updates.

Apparently PRN is mixing up the BET with the NFL playoffs.
At this rate, I'm expecting Gardner to be ready no later than the start of the 2013 Big East season! (Though he'll probably still be listed as day-to-day.)

a day?
Thought it was two and if he can get a couple in before the Georgetown game he should be ready for the tournament
He's 90% for every game for the rest of the season.

Yep. Waiting to hear that his season is over.

Remember, Andy Katz reported that he was out for the regular season almost two weeks ago.
Then, Katz was dragged into being a no knowledge commie buffoon from Madison by the enlightened folks in this forum.
Conclusions. Drawn.

Katz is a rumor mill.
Isn't that his job?

Definitely. It's ESPN's job. They just shouldn't get kudos (if)when one of their wild shots finally hits the mark.
Davante in uniform and warming up with team tonight per Enlund - still unlikely to play but a good sign.

How do you prove it was a "wild shot"?
As hard as it is to stomach, I'd have to think that ESPN's resident "insider" would have better access to that knowledge then anyone in this forum. So far, that is proving true.

Actually I don't think that's the case.

Really? You don't think people on this board have better access to information than Andy Katz? I don't recall anything that Katz has said in the history of his relationship with ESPN that has been remotely insightful about Marquette basketball.
However I see people (like IWB) post things here regularly that show they have access to better information.
Again, at this point, I'll be glad IF Davante is back, AT ALL. MUScoop posters, Katz, Buzz, who the hell ever. Enough smoke being blown up our asses. He's back when he's back.

Regarding Gardner's injury, no I haven't seen anything to the contrary.

So we have limited you statement to this one particular point...which very well could have been a "wild shot." You have produced no additional evidence that Katz has any sort of contacts with the MU program that have produced other insider information.

I was always talking about just Gardner's injury. That is
the thread topic. You seemed to assume I was talking about every single aspect of MU basketball.
I would never claim Katz to know everything about MU more accurately then everyone here. Regarding Gardner's injury, which he clearly was sure as crap to report on some time ago, I did believe his report and nothing here has shown him to be in the wrong.
It could be a "wild shot". We'll find out in four days. But I can't prove a negative so the only evidence available is his ESPN employment. Think what you want about the entity but they rarely employ dumb-asses who don't have contacts in their industry.

Keep backpeddling. It's fun to watch.
And ESPN has some of the least connected "insiders" in the business.

You should read my posts again. It was clearly about Gardner's injury.
Normally you're level headed but your behavior in this thread reeks of misdirected frustration in making poor assumptions and getting kicks off of it.
Shouldn't take losses so seriously.
