not to get ahead of ourselves but if we take care of business this week and UNC/Mich St have trouble vs. Duke/Ohio St, we could be #5 heading into the big east tourney.
It's ok to get ahead of ourselves as fans...that would be sweet.

There won't be a new poll released prior to our game with Georgetown. The rankings today are the rankings you will get on Saturday.
If that team from South Bend beats Georgetown tonite doesnt that guarantee a Warrior double bye?

Double bye is guaranteed already.
If Notre Dame wins we are gauranteed at least third place.

A Marquette win and Notre Dame loss guarantees the Golden Eagles second place in the Big East.

If G'Town wins tonight over ND is G'Town in the driver seat for the three seed over ND?

They would control their own destiny, but it wouldn't be a gimme. ND has PC at home for their final game. That would figure to be an easier win for them than a Georgetown road win over MU on Saturday. If ND loses tonight and to PC, then Georgetown is no worse than 3rd. If ND loses tonight but beats PC, Georgetown has to also beat us in order to take 3rd (or 2nd if we lose to Cinci also). If ND wins tonight, the Hoyas cannot finish 2nd or 3rd.
At least I think that is right. All the hypotheticals get confusing.
So GTown owns the tiebreaker with a victory tonight. You went into way more detail than I was expecting - thank you.
Pick up a couple spots a week until April 2nd and we might have something here. Remember someone has to win the thing....why not us?
