Title: Cincy/USF
Post by: brewcity77 on February 26, 2012, 11:38:59 AM
They're on TWS 32 in Milwaukee right now. Tied at 20 with just over 3 minutes in the first half. Good game so far, USF looks like a solid team, and could move into the field of 68 with a win here. Wouldn't be a great win, but probably a win over a tourney team.

If USF wins, Marquette clinches the double-bye.

First one to 44 points wins.  They should turn overtime into sudden death with these two.

LOL...this is brutal from an offensive perspective. These two look like UW/Penn State out there. USF up 1!

USF would feel right at home in the B1G.  Cincy up 45-44 with 3.2 left, USF going to the line.

Cincy up 45-44, USF w/ an 84% FT shooter and a chance to win w/ 3.2 to play. Now tied 45-45!

HUGE drive by Cashemere Wright - made layup with 9 seconds left. Up 1

USF comes down ad drives and gets fouled. 2 FT with 3 seconds left - 84% shooter. Hits the first - Tied

USF makes 4 FTs in the final minute, taking the lead both times! Hold on for just 3.2 seconds, Bulls!

(Dumb timeout now by Heath)

USF fouls (not in the bonus) with .7 to go.  Ballsy.  Deflects the inbound after that.  Hello double bye!

That was why Heath called the TO and why the TO was smart, not stupid.

Absolutely.  The announcer said it was a bad timeout, bet neither he or the playbyplay guy mentioned that Usf had a foul to give.  Good timeout and well executed.

Stan the Man could be a win at the Ewww Center away from COY.

We're a Georgetown win tomorrow and a win at Cincy Wednesday away from locking up second.

What do we need for the 3 seed? Based on only needing those two scenarios for a 2 seed, I'm guessing not much.

Glad USF won, but what was worse, USF's zone offense or Bob Wenzel?

If Georgetown wins Monday and we beat Cincinnati we lock up 2 seed in big east tourney no matter what happens in our last game

3 and 4 seeds play at night .. plus don't see Syracuse till the final.

Just sayin.

2 and 3 seeds play at night (Thurs).
Title: had not idea they had two fouls to give

AWESOME!  I landed and saw the FOUL with one second left and was in disbelief.  Had now idea they had fouls to give, so was pretty relieved when I saw the game over.

Top 4 seed is all I wanted - sure No. 2 looks nice, but they guys have no chance for a bad loss, and will be rested for the NCAAs no matter how far we go.

Still think beating Syracuse on a third straight game of playing is a long shot with our style of play, but if we get a shot, it would be awesome.

As I read the bracket, 2 or 3 is the "happy zone."

2 seed gets to play at 7 p.m. ET on Thu 3/8. Win that and play the  second semifinal (9 p.m. sked but more like 9:45 p.m.) on Fri 3/9, most likely against the 3 seed.

Thus, 2 or 3 wouldn't play Syracuse til final - if Cuse makes it, that is.
