DJO, Jones, and Crowder all gonna try to put on a show tonight - question is who will let it get to their head too much. To me, Crowder can help himself the most by playing great D on Jones, although I'm sure JWil will be on him a bit too. Crowder always finds a way to get his points (knock on wood for foul trouble), but if he can limit Jones, get his steals, and rebound hard, I think he wraps this thing up tonight. Actually, best case scenario is this:
Crowder 15+ points, 6+ boards, 3+steals, 3+ assists
Jones under 10 points, under 10 rebounds
DJO scores 20+ and hits game winner
BEAST Co POY!!!!!!!
Although there's still two additional games left, I don't see anyone closing the gap in those games to the player that comes out ahead tonight.
Jones has no chance to win Big East player of the year. He was the preseason favorite and when West Virginia was 7-1 he was the overwhelming favoite. West Virginia has lost 6 out of 7 games. He could score 30 tonight in a West Virginia loss and it would not matter.
I hear ya; just heard several diff times that the voters wouldn't let an accomplishment of leading league in points and rebounds go w/o the accolade because it hasn't happened in so long; assuming of course he gets there, which I personally don't think he will
Best case scenario: run huggy bear and k. jones right out of Morgantown and off to the big 12 with a 30 pt blowout.
Like I said, best case scenario. It's tough to get a W in Morgantown so I don't see a blowout occurring. My guess is we struggle to find a rhythm unfortunately. Hope this isn't the case though as I will be in attendance.
