is crowder making enough of a late season push to be really considered for Big East POY? he scores, rebounds and stuffs the stat sheet, but he also does a lot more on the court that isn't noticed (charges, etc.). do enough voting members actually watch our games?

Does anyone remember a serious thread earlier in the year about why does everyone love Jae? What were they thnking? And there also has been some anti DJO and Vander Blue animus. This team is great.

Friday night's game could help sway voters one way or the other.  Hopefully Jae can split the difference between the last two games and put up 28/10 with 3 steals, 2 blocks and 2 assists (at least) while holding Jones in check.  That could be enough to tip the scales in his favor.  Sad that that's what it might take to get voters' attention, but he deserves it regardless IMO.

And yeah, no question about tonight.  Jae all the way.

One of the dumbest threads in recent memory.  I wonder if that poster has seen the light yet.

As recently as last week, I thought Jones had it locked up, but I now agree that Friday's game very well could decide conference POY.

Jae should be SOTG, BE POY, and an All-American.  Well, at least the mods can make the first one happen.

Jae...he has really put it all together. Another great game.

DJO gets honorable mention for helping to build the lead in the first half.

Jae...and I agree, Friday's game will have a huge impact on who wins Big East POY.

Don't know if I've seen this on the box score page on ESPN before:

First post to start it off:

I just don't get it.

I appreciate what he does, but he's an junker of a player.

Why isn't anyone hating on him? He has not progressed as a player. He's one of the worst defenders on the team. He disappears for long stretches.

His game isn't that good. He is our only option, but as the focal point of the offense we need a better player.

Uhhhh.... yikes.  PTM, you're a good poster - have you found religion re: Crowder yet?

EDIT: just read through the first couple pages of that thread and now I have a headache.  I can't believe it took until the middle of PAGE THREE for someone to make a reasonable comment about Jae's value.  Man people are brutal when we lose a couple road games to top 10 opponents.

I really liked the boost that Anderson and Jones gave us in the first half.

Co-MVP'S

This was supposed to show up in teal...I'll have to work on my colors.

While fully admitting that this one will most likely go to Jae (I haven't even looked at the box score yet), I do want to give a nod to Cadougan for his first 7 minutes in the game.  He was tearing it up.

Jae Stud.  More solid than a two by six to the head, which is how opponents who guard him must feel...

Wow!  PTM, Hayward, MUmac and the rest ... as wrong as you can possibly be.

I repeat my call that we should start offering investment advice in this board.  I might even be willing to pay for that advice.  All I have to do is the opposite of what everyone here thinks and I would be so rich I can buy up all the unused student section tickets!
