I'm sure back in November the Monday matchup between UConn and Villanova looked like a classic in the making. Now, not so much... fallen to the "who cares" category

It's only big from the standpoint if UCONN loses they will be on the outside looking in. And Nova gave ND all it could handle over the weekend (and all we could handle a few weeks ago). I wouldn't be surprised if UCONN lost and as a result the players put a moratorium on high fives for the remainder of the season.
UConn isn't out with a loss. They have a solid shot to get in at 8-10.
While UConn needs a few decent wins down the stretch, they are not yet near the bubble because of their RPI and SOS. That said, taking care of business against Villy is absolutely in their interest.

I think when you have a losing conference record, which is extremely likely (if not assured) if UConn loses today, RPI can and should be tossed out the window. The whole "what have you done for me lately" factor.
