found this interesting that stat guy who highlighted Lin is watching Jae....1st rounder ?
But Weiland never expected Lin to go as "Linsane" as this. Entering Wednesday night's Knicks-Kings game, Lin was averaging 27.2 points and 8.8 assists in five scintillating starts. He is on the current cover of Sports Illustrated, and was named the NBA's Eastern Conference player of the week. Weiland believes Lin's numbers will come down when Carmelo Anthony returns to the New York lineup, but not drastically.
"When this all flattens out, I'm guessing he'll be scoring in the high teens, say 18 points, with 10 assists," he said. "That's an All-Star point guard, or at least borderline."
Meanwhile, Weiland continues to scour the NCAA, and he shared his enthusiasm for a pair of current players: Tony Mitchell of North Texas, and Jae Crowder at Marquette. By now, many of Weiland's friends and colleagues know about his side life examining sports. "He's got a real knack for numbers," said Weiland's boss, Vince VandenBosch. "Real smart guy."
Excellent article! I wonder what his numbers say about Jae after the UConn game....
George Blaney of UConn says Crowder reminds him of Caron Butler!

The article this is from mentions keeping tabs on rebounds/blocks/steals per 40 minutes. Jae is coming up with steals at an absurd rate for a guy his size right now. I don't know if he can maintain that.

George Blaney of UConn says Crowder reminds him of Caron Butler!
Here was Blaney's quote concerning Jay, from John Silver's rapid report:
"We had three guys play him at different times," associate head coach George Blaney said. "He's a bad mismatch...he's a strong rebounder; he's got real good handle; and he can pass the ball and defend all five positions."

Wait.... you mean the ultimate switchable??? Turns out players like that are pretty damn valuable after all.
I'd like to know what a good mismatch is like?

From MU's point of view, he is a good mismatch. From UConn's, not so much.
Hoop 24/7 I'll introduce you to my ex wife. :'(

Well, Jae is more of a "traditional" switchable.
