Couldn't be more excited about what this kid brings to the table.

Thanks. It works with my phone but wasn't sure if it would for everyone.
Very impressive. Highest GPA on the team.

Agreed. Seems he will transition to the college game quite nicely with his mentality and college frame along with his athleticism. Although its waaaay to early to tell...I'm excited but usually don't have too many high expectations from incoming freshman. So any impact will be nice from my perspective.
Basketball aside. He seems like a great kid and will be a credit to our program and university. Welcome aboard DB!
The only thing I found odd about the video was the coach saying that MU "doesn't recruit many City Conference kids." I'm trying to figure out what City Conference players have been high level D1 prospects, and the best I can come up with in the last five years is Korie Lucious...and it was pretty clear that he wasn't even going to consider MU. Other than that, you have some lower level prospects, or players with academic issues. (And one of those came to MU - Buycks.)

Just the type of thug Buzz recruits.
Kidding obviously but I agree also. What stands out is his character and maturity and those are the student-athletes we want in our program. And yes, welcome aboard DB.

I thought the same thing. But no worries. Buzz seems to appreciate when he can get a quality MPS kid and what that can mean for the city. He talked about that regularly with respect to Buycks last year.
Wow, that was a very impressive piece. I'm very excited for him to get here. Hopefully he can be the start of a string of Milwaukee area kids, since there is a lot of talent in the next few years.

No doubt, I came away from that video pretty impressed. My guess is the family situation isn't favorable based on the way the coach tiptoed around the issues. To be that focused and mature at 16 or 17 is commendable.
Basketball wise, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqOuZSyVsO0 , he's looks very skilled and athletic...should be a good one.
If MU recruited more City Conference players, we'd be sittin' in the bottom quarter of the BE. To say nothin' of the academic issues that often times goes with the territory.
I hate to say this (for jinx reasons) but this kid's game reminds me LeBron

Have you seen him shoot? I must've missed the SI cover with Burton on it.

I have only seen him a couple of times, but I can see the comparison. The couple of times I watched him it looked like he tried to do too much and force the issue at times.
Why don't we just let him be Deonte, and see how that works out, sheesh?

too much to ask... put it on your Christmas list and see if you get it
Looks like he has great body control in the clips I've seen.

Because comparing players to other players is what fans on message boards and in general do. Sheesh

Right.
I think Durley reminds me of Dwight Howard....Ferguson of Kobe....TJ Taylor of Chris Paul and Steve Taylor of a young Kevin Garnett.
And Buzz of Coach K...only better!!!
Deonte was a great pickup. MU would be a great fit for J P Tokoto. Just a WISH. Duane Wilson and Matt Thomas
would look good in MU colors. Thomas CAN PLAY THE GAME. 2014---Kevon Looney.
Badger coaches told Looney he reminded them of Jalen Rose.

Touche!
Should be interesting to see how his skills/size translate at the next level as a SF. Looks like he's gonna be good finisher around the basket, probably get to the line a lot with that size.
alando tucker with better ball handling skills
The one thing I am surprised that everyone is overlooking is how short his shorts were. You could see his entire knee.
