Pro-American candidate defeats Socialist in election for French presidency.
86% of the country voted.

He won on the immigration issue-----to many illegal aliens from Algeria, Morocco, etc !
He also said he would be a friend to America, something the frogs have been oh so reluctant to do since about 1946.
Socialist policies there (like everywhere on the planet) have failed miserably with unemployment totally out of control. The cradle to grave policies have put them in desperate straits just like they had with Germany.
Not surprising, the liberals were thrown out of power in both countries in the last 12 months.
France is one of my favorites places to visit. However, when you look a bit closer the French are xenophobes. You should see the way Police deal with Algerian kids. This is why the left lost. The Terrorists are forcing western countries to vote with fear.
Dont expect France to join the fight in iraq, but they will strengthen their own security. Seems like what our dems are suggesting is a better course in the states.

Of course they needed a change;
they've tried ignoring the hundreds of car fires per night and it doesn't go away! turning the other cheek is a nice platitude, but reality dictates action. when our radical muslim population grows, we will face the same problems..., porous borders, liberal visa-policies, tolerating too much to be p.c. will be our downfall! France is a lovely place to visit..., if you stay out of Paris.
