How they voted: AP poll (Week 15)
Marquette shot up from No. 18 to No. 12 in the latest Associated Press top 25 rankings, gaining 341 points in the process. The Golden Eagles are a pretty solid 12, too, 122 points ahead of No. 13 San Diego State and 166 points behind No. 11 UNLV.

Some people choose to focus on the lack of big name wins and the laid eggs on national TV instead of the fact that we have 21 wins and no bad losses. And if we fade down the stretch or go out early in the dance, they can smugly say "I told you so."
Are these guys all sportswriters? I guess I never paid attention to how they were chosen.
Ha! I love that Wilner, who has consistently had us ranked by far the highest of anyone, moved us down a notch from 9 to 10 after two straight blowout wins. Pollz r phun!

I don't get it either they must have never even seen us play. Maybe they saw a few of our national televised games.
