Obviously a 3 seed would be great in that we would be favored into the Sweet 16 but also because none of the possible two seeds scare me big time, as I see UNC getting a 1 eventually.
But right now we are pretty much a unanimous 4 from experts to fan brackets and as a top 4 seed you get seeded close to home.........thats puts us in Coloumbus in UK's bracket as they will play in Louisville. I know things happen where teams get moved around but UK is the one team that would just suck to be paired with.
Lets finish strong and get a 3.
Kentucky is very beatable.
Marquette is not the team to beat them though.

Exactly. There are a lot of teams that can give us trouble, but really only two in my mind it would take a miracle to beat.
The team that could get a 1 seed that we want to face if we get the chance is Mizzou. They play small and a similar type of game as us. Is a game that will come down to who shoots the ball better. If mizzou can win the big 12 and get a 1, thats who we want.

Yup. But they do shoot it great from 3 so we cant give up open looks. OX has to go to work on Ratliffe and get him in trouble. I think Mizzou ends up a 2 seed though as KU will win at the Phog and take the regular season and most likely the Big 12 tourney as well. KU is actually kind of a tough match up for us too but Tyshawn will turn it over all day vs our press.

Two? I can think of 5.
UNC
KU
UK
Duke
Baylor
All these teams have very good size

We have a tendency to bump into Mizzou in the tourney. The past has no bearing in this sense, just saying.

Duke is a good team, but if we bring our A game, I think we could take them pretty handily. I also think an MU-Baylor match up would be a great game.
UNC, UK and Kansas would give us trouble. I am not going to say it would take a miracle as some posters have said. That is silly...but it would definitely take a great game from our leaders both offensively and defensively to make it a one or two possession game in the final minutes.
First, let's finish the season strong and get a double bye in the BE tournament.
Then, we finish between 1 & 3 in the tournament...hopefully we win it all, or at least get a crack at ND and teach them a thing or two. >:(
ND sucks. Did I mention, ND sucks?
THEN, we get a 2 or 3 seed.
This is all possible IF....this team keeps having everyone continue the progress they've have in the past two weeks, an Ox returns in good shape.
I love the fact that how high we seed is the topic at hand. Could be a lottttttt worse.
Early in the season, Goose called it. He said something to the effect of...we have the
Horses to pull this off. He was right!
Can't wait till we see the stretch of game where Wilson plays to his potential, Blue stays on the upward track he is on, Junior keeps feeding the machine, and DJO and Jae show the senior leadership we've seen over the past 10 + games.
And....our chili is better.

KU could be a pain with their size but we could at least turn them over. Duke cant make fts and Ox abused them last year with a bad shoulder. We almost beat them last year when they had Singler, Smith and Irving(yes irving played that game). They would be tought to beat, but our guards could give them lots of problems.
Baylor? LOL. Bring them on. Softest team ever. Screw their size. Mizzou at them alive in the paint at Baylor then destroyed them again yesterday. They have all the talent in the world, but not the toughness. Id take them in a Sweet 16 match up any day if forced to play a high seed.
just because you're a 4 seed, and if by chance happen to play in the same location (Columbus) as 1-seed Kentucky, doesn't mean you'd play them if both teams advance to the Sweet Sixteen.
Each 4-team pod is separate and the 1 seed could move on to the South bracket and the 4 seed could move on to the West bracket.

Yeah but pretty much every bracket I have seen so far has us with UK

Considering who did beat them, I'm rather surprised at your negativity about MU's chances. Why can't we beat Kentucky?

Plumlees are much better this year. They combined for over 35 boards the other night. With our rebounding issues, they would be really tough to beat.
Baylor may be soft but it takes a team like KU to make them look soft. We would have a tough time.
ND SUCKS...just has a real nice ring to it...
