We have a future star on our hands here. He really is starting to look comfortable in the offense, and learning how to work with crowder and djo
So, he was a good trade for the Philly dude?

I think that Buzz character may know what he's doing, player-personel wise. ;)

Oh, I don't think anyone was holding Jamil back, but Jamil; and now its looking like that time is past. Say amen, somebody!
I'll do better that that - Halleluia! It is Sunday after all. Agree that Jamil has finally unleashed HIMSELF. I think he's had a rough go of things in the past, but now he's able to relax and do what he's meant to do.
As a side note how does one pronounce his name? ?-(
JWilson's rep was one of lots of skills and abilities, but didn't always play hard. From high school and his freshman year at Oregon, it was said that he coasted and played soft. The year off to grow and learn under Buzz certainly helped. So did the fact that he now knows that he has to be the man. He is stepping up. The next couple of years could be a lot of fun.

I think the term "soft" is a little over-used. He's never been soft, so to speak. I think his long body is just more suited for a finesse game and that hasn't been the kind of player we've been used to seeing because our undersized front courts have traditionally been a little lacking in the skill department and have had to use brawn over talent to be effective.
Wilson easily our most talented player and I think confidence has been the difference for him. Since the home Villanova game he's been outstanding. I think he's got a little Bo Ellis in him, which I know is a huge stretch. But with two more seasons after this one, he could be a really good one.
Incidentally, I think Blue fits the same mold as far as finesse is concerned. He's had his struggles but is finally starting to let things come to him and has been really great the last few games. We are on a huge upswing.
We agree big picture, PRN, while niggling over some trivial details. I agree that JWilson and Blue have really been on an upswing the last few games and that the team as whole has a lot of upside.
Great win against a good Cinci team. We have so many talented players on this team. Jae and DJ are definitely the leaders. Jamil and Vander are the next leaders. Both are super talented. Both are growing better game by game. Marquette looks really good and is trending upward. Go Marquette!
