In the last two seasons (2010 and 2011) we have beaten 13 of the 15 BE teams and Wisc. The only two teams we have not beaten over this stretch are Cincy and GU. We did beat Cincy and GU in 2009. This means, I believe, that DJO is the only player in MU history to have been on the court when we beat the other 15 BE teams and Wisc. (in 2009 Junior was hurt and Otule was a red shirt).
If we beat Cincy Saturday, we still have another shot at GU later to accomplished this task in just 2 seasons. Then 5 more players will join DJO in accomplishing the feat. (JJ, DG, VB, Crowder and Junior ... CO is hurt again)
2009
W - GU
W - Cincy
2010
W - WVU
W - Rut
W - ND
W - 'cuse
W - USF
W - Uconn
W - Prov
W - Dep
2011
W - Wisc.
W - Nova
W - SJU
W - Pitt
W - 'ville
W - SH
Without checking, I knew we hadn't beaten Syracuse since joining the Big East before last year, but I figured JFB must have accomplished this, but checking I see we didn't beat Pitt during his three years. Doesn't seem that hard for a consistent winner to accomplish, but I guess it isn't easy to beat a consistently elite team like Pitt in three years, especially when you only get one crack at them at home.

This is exactly the problem, you might only get one crack at home every two years to beat a team.
That said, if we win Saturday, we have a good chance to beat every BE team and Wisc in just two seasons (again, we have done it over the last three) which, I think is a very good accomplishment.
I just hope we stomp Cincy!
I love DJO! HE is my FAVORITE! There is just something about him that makes me proud to be a marquette fan!
With today's win over Cincy, we gave beaten 14 of the 15 BE teams and Wisconsin this season or last. Only Geogetown remains to be beaten, and we play them at home March 3.
We beat Georgetown two seasons ago so DJO is the only MU player in history to beat all 15 members of the BE and Wisconsin is his career. If we beat Georgetown in 2 weeks, then JJ, DG, VB, Crowder and Junior join DJO in this career achievement.
