Bleacher Report not fans of us of late.
Today they have us as one of the ten teams that will get exposed in the NCAA tournament. Without knowing who we will play, that's quite a reach. Wisconsin is on the list also

Last week they took a shot at our uniforms, labeling us as one of 20 teams that should change. The author takes down UCLA, Georgetown, Indiana, and some of the other traditional uniforms for being blase and then takes on MU for going to far. Can't win with this author

The Bleacher Report sucks. It is easily one of the worst sports sites on the internet. Anything they post should be immediately disregarded.
I'm actually happy they don't like Marquette, gives us a better chance.
Also, their uniform comment is spot on. They hate them, the rest of the college basketball community does. Makes sense with the Bleacher Report track record.
B/R is never up to date, has some inane lists on there site, much better places to get info
Got no problem being lumped with UCLA, UConn, Syracuse, and Georgetown. Our look is unique.
Bleacher Report is where journalism goes to die.
I thought the MJS was where journalism went to die.
He used a photo of last year's unis, anyway. Jackass.

Nice.
The article about our unis and the one about our tourney chances were written by current college students. Great stuff by The Onion about Bleacher Report...

The Bleacher Report is poor journalism because ANYBODY can write an article for the site. Google should be ashamed to include BR in its news feed.

So, Marquette shoots well, but rebounds poorly. Doesn't all the good shooting eliminate rebounds on the offensive end?
Bleacher Report = Haters
We are undersized and have games where we shoot poorly from the outside since we only have 2 real threats in Crowder (who is also our best rebounder). We are a fundamentally strong team but there is not a team in the tournament (all solid or better teams) that would not match up at least ok with us. Teams that are Big and good rebounding teams can get by with poor shooting becuase if they get 8 more OFF rebounds then there OPPT that is 8 more possessions assuming TO's are about the same. That is why we cannot have high TO's and Low FT's if we want to win Vs good teams. Every team is going to have a bad shooting 3 game every 3rd game on average. If ours is our opening game we would be ripe for a upset Vs a 12 seed.

Well that's the problem with judging rebound performance based upon total rebounds. But rebounding is a problem if you measure it by percentage...offensive is 108th...defensive is 269th.
Interestingly, they are 4th in the country in assist percentage.
Bleacher Report projected Kemba Walker to be a 3rd-4th round NBA Draft pick.
Enough said.
You know those cliches about bloggers writing from the basement of their mothers' homes, sitting at their computers dressed only in their underwear? Well, that's unfair to a lot of real high quality bloggers.
But it pretty much nails the average Bleacher Report blogger.
I have plenty of legit concerns about our lads, rebounding included, but I'll take my own evaluations -- and the evaluations of other intelligent posters here -- over anything any BR hack says.
If you see "Bleacher Report" on any sports story, stop reading or remember that there's absolutely no experience or research backing up the article. It's all amateur hack bloggers who can't get paid gigs as sportswriters and want to pile up clips anyway they can.

Did they really? That would be something, considering the NBA Draft only has two rounds.

not sure but I think that maybe Merritt was implying the same thing. I bet he knows that there are not four rounds to the NBA draft, maybe.
