Title: the news banner
Post by: 96warrior on February 07, 2012, 10:39:31 AM
Is a little flip, considering how DePaul pretty much owned us for the first 15 minutes of the game and made it a decent battle through part of the second half. It's nice to see them coming back a bit as a program and it'd be good to see them get truly competitive again on a consistent basis.

Cue annual Scoop debate on whether a good DePaul helps Marquette.

Well, 9 out of the last 11, we got the W.  (18 out of 23 as well)

Yes, yes, DePaul beat us the first 15 minutes of the game yesterday.   I imagine there may have been times in the last 9 wins where they were up against us at some point, then lost.

All that counts is the score after 40 minutes.

Agreed...I actually go to several DePaul games every year and Purnell is finally starting to get some athletes into the system...considering that all of their key players are first or second year players, I think this team is going to be very competitive (aka above average) in league play in another two years...

...when Young and Melvin are seniors.
