Announcers made it all the way to the 11:42 mark in the second half without mentioning OJ Mayo.
Thought we were going to make the whole game without that reference, not that its a bad thing.
Did you know that Buzz likes to recruit JUCOs?
or that we often make more free throws than our opponents attempt?

Marquette is one of the hardest playing teams in college hoops.

We play with more energy at our shootarounds than other teams play during games.

Fixed.
This will be the second straight year where the entire senior class will be JUCOs, yet next year there will not be
any JUCOs on the team!

I know he is a JUCO, but I don't view him that way. Never did with Kinsella either. Both went JUCO to avoid sitting two consecutive seasons.
I'm just happy O.J.'s brother contributed tonight. It had been a spell.
How about Junior Cardigan?
Did the announcers mention that MU makes more free throws than their opponents take? If not, I think that is a first.
Or how INTENSE Marquette practices and shootarounds are.

I obviously know his story, but I for one hope we always have a player from a JUCO as long as Buzz is our coach. He's got deep connections on the scene, and it's clearly a recruiting advantage he can exploit. The best three players he's signed have been from a JUCO. With Jimmy going to the league, DJO with a damn good shot at doing the same, and Crowder thriving as a star with an outside shot at the NBA, we should be able to get one of if not THE best player from the JUCO ranks every other year. Plus I like the guys that have taken the road less traveled (Robert Frost).

He quickly corrected himself...with the always hits the spot: Cadd-a-gan. How do you mispronounce a starting PGs name?
Buzz likes to emphasize Paint Touches.
Also, I'm bummed that Otule isn't playing this year. For lots of reasons, but also because he was always good for a "only has one eye" reference.
As an aside, Mrs. Sugar and I were watching the Seton Hall game and both had a "WHAT?!" moment when they were talking about Herb Pope being shot in high school. We agreed that it may be really weird to fans that aren't familiar with the story, but every Seton Hall fan has probably heard that reference dozens of times. The closest comparison is probably Otule's eye.

What?!?! Herb Pope has had a rough life! He was shot, and he almost died at Seton Hall when his heart stopped.

Vander Blue originally committed to UW!
Gardner was over 300 lbs when he committed.

Robert Frost was a horrible free throw shooter.

Whadda you mean? Jack was awesome at crunch time - ice water in his veins.
All good stuff!! +10. Can't stop laughing. Keep it going!
I heard somewhere that DJO is a lefty. Has this been confirmed???
Getting back to the original post, anyone know if OJ Mayo has been to any of our games this year or plans to attend? I guess it's more likely after Memphis joins the Big East.

I don't think Ovinton J'Anthony has been to any of his half brother's games yet.
