Watching the game it seems like we have a full squad but the truth is we do not. The joyce sucks

Agreed. Gardner would have changed the game. Bummer. Same rules apply every season. Win at home, steal some road games, peak in march. I can live with this loss.
That don't matter. Shoulda torqued on #24's baby maker until he turned blue and then they'd have one on the bench too

Yeah, I tend to agree with this. Not a terrible loss by any means.

Seriously. Not a terrible loss? We lost by 20 points and allowed a crummy shooting team to hit 11 threes. Had it been close is agree but tht was a pathetic performance that had little to do with 2 centers missing.

Objectively, you are right, it's not a terrible loss. But it was a loss to Notre Dame. Some of us emotionally feel that it is a terrible loss. We'll move on, though.

The margin of victory doesn't matter....a loss is a loss.
Cooley didn't have the stats, but ND went to him right off the bat which got JW in foul trouble. Buzz adjusted with help on Cooley. That opened up the three ball for the Irish. Cooley wisely did not force it against the double team and trusted his teammates to win the game for ND. They did.
Yes, we missed our centers today. So long as DG comes back, I also don't see this is a bad loss.
How is a 17 pt loss to an unranked team not a bad loss?

Cooley had one assist and played limited minutes. Most of the 3s came off simple pick and rolls and dribble penetration.

Yeah, they did. And it was bad. Nothing to move on from, it's a CBB game. But saying point differential doesn't mean anything is absurd. Losing to vandy isn't bad, but losing by 25 is.
"How many people realize olwe havr 2 centers out?"
Looks like you've got a few keys on your keyboard out. Much less a problem than both our centers being out for the year.

We are not a top 5 team trying to get a 1 seed. We are about a 15th ranked team and we lost on the road against a quality conference opponent. A loss is a loss.
Depaul has a big center too, but they don't have a lot of 3 ball shooters like the guy we made a star today. Buck Up!
Hate hate HATE losing to ND! But losing on the road to a hot team that just recently beat the nation's No. 1 won't be considered a "bad" loss when all is said and done.
Gotta take care of biz at DePaul and at home against Cinci.

Agree completely. We are what we our record says we are (copyright Bill Parcells). A solid 5/6 seed, if we right the ship after this s***show and play well down the stretch. Starts with curb stomping DePaul (or, more realistically, winning a butt-ugly squeaker) on Monday.
It's amazing how the same people only come out after a loss. Im glad they've had to wait awhile ;D
Hey, we got both ND and Wisconsin on the road this year and we split. That's really not bad.
I wonder how this board would have reacted to that pathetic performance put up by MU in the '02/03 season at ND. Never in that game at all. It happens, and sometimes at ND. Get over it. Far too many over emotional reactions to losses on this board.

LOL.
Once DG was hurt, I figured this game was a loss. ND shot lights out, which can happen there. Now we really need a win Monday.
