Year?
We were winning plenty before CO went out. And DG has won a few...maybe 2-3.
This is NOT a serious thread, RIGHT?! RIGHT?!
Otule had to be 80%+. Seemed we won every one with him. But the tip matters...well, it doesn't.

Yeah...it does. Especially in close games. That's an extra possession. The biggest misconception in college basketball is that the team that loses the tip gets the ball in the second half. That's not true. It's the team that had the possession arrow at the end of the first half. So if you win the tip and end the half with the ball and the arrow, you have a possibility of having 2 additional possessions if you also end the game with the ball.
For a team that averages 1.107 ppp, I like the idea of winning the tip and possibly having a 2.214 edge in scoring simply based off the possession game.

Case in point, ND won the tip and got the ball to start the second half.
I just knew there was a good reason not to feel good about the seven games we won prior to today!
I think we can combine threads ... How come MU never wins the tip in regional CBS broadcasted games that get mistaken for nationally broadcasted games?
