That video is hilarious for so many reasons.
This is how I imagined myself as a kid when I would slam the ball in the hoop hanging on my bedroom door.
Sadly, my dreams of being as tall as the hoop and scoring a million points don't look as fun as I thought they'd be.
He has the right name on the front of his jersey! 8-) Looks like a major project that would be worth taking a risk on. The guy does not even have to jump to slam it. :o
He lost the tip?!?!?!
I liked the name on the jersey, too - but in this day and age, how can a Christian school perpetuate such a hateful, culturally insensitive, hurtful, warmongering nickname like Warriors. Where are the PC police?

Agreed! Someone needs to confiscate that jersey and replace it with a blue and gold one that says "Marquette" on it! Also, he must report to Joyce Center on Saturday morning for detention.
Looked like he was playing against the Washington Generals.

Why was he not playing on Varsity?
Impressed that he looks somewhat able to move around gracefully, he even backpedaled down the court on defense one possession. He also has a little bit of bball knowledge it appears, atleast 10x more than Mbao did.
He actually has a decent looking stroke for his size.
Nice build for a guy that tall.
If he can keep his knees and feet healthy (always a question for guys over 7ft), he has a chance to be a good player.
His free throw stroke looked good, but with a guy that size, I would certainly concentrate on defense first.

I thought the same thing but then I realized he was probably waiting for the ball to at least reach his shoulders before actually attempting to make a move for the tip. By the time the other kid was jumping for the ball, it was only mid-chest on him. I honestly don't think the ball would have reached higher than his head at its peak.
I feel bad for the other teams "Big men" who have to try and guard him. thats just gotta suck
OK, what many forget with 7'4" or taller basketball players is that they grew so fast they lack coordination and dexterity that many smaller players have. Growing up in the 1970s, I saw a guy named Steve Turner, who was 7'4" and played for Vanderbilt. Turner was the tallest player in the SEC at the time but against fast and often quick teams, he spent a lot of time on the bench.
In the Big East and in most basketball today, a massive center is not the value they once were. Back in the day, basketball was an inside game with the goal of shooting as close to the hoop as possible. Now with the three point shot, it's an inside-outside game. Mobility and flexibility in your team is a must.
As for rebounding, good rebounding is a matter of strength. We have out-rebounded some larger teams this year because we're strong, quick and better positioned. Plus, with longer shots, we have longer rebounds, diminishing the value of an "aircraft carrier" center still further.
Look, I'd like Shaq or Kareem in a Warrior uniform (or even Jerome Whitehead and Jim Chones) as much as anyone. But that isn't going to happen and I think I'd rather have a 6'8" power forward with moves than I would a bench-warming aircraft carrier.

Additionally, he is not genetically tall, but rather has gigantism. Those guys have a lot more issues physically. Most people with gigantism have troubles merely standing. With that said, he looked to move very well given his condition. It also should be noted that he plays the very lowest competition. Apparently there are teams in his conference that are CO-ED!
I think I've seen that movie before....'Ndiaye and the 9 dwarfs'... ridiculously funny.
Maybe we can get him to commit by working the same "Island of Misfit Toys" angle that worked with Durley!
Have watched him in person several times.. he's not very good
