no agent.......media briefing at 3:45 CDT per Rosiak
Anyone else surprised by the way this is being handled? With a guy so clearly testing the waters, with a very slim chance of being guaranteed a 1st round pick, it seems like a lot of song and dance is going on.
Now, June 18th comes around, THEN we'll be interested in hearing the story.
Nobody declares that they're just testing the waters. You have to sell it, baby. Have the press conference, talk to the media, do the workouts, etc. It's like showing up to a job interview for a position that you may not be interested in. You have to sell yourself and see what happens.
I guess I would be surprised that NBA GMs and scouts, watching thousands of hours of play would give one iota of thought to whether or not a guy had media attention or was "selling it". (exception: crazy media attention, like LeBron had.)
Media attention might get a guy on the list of 150 potentials. I doubt it gets you to the top 30. In the end, you need a guy who can help your team on the court.
