Title: Halftime entertainment - did they cut budget/acts? at least last night had one..
Post by: harigtad on January 25, 2012, 11:50:46 AM
Been to about half the games and last night is the first one that has had a halftime act.  I don't count the win a car halfcourt shot where i havent even seen anyone hit rim yet!

The Inflatable Bobblehead act from last night was actually amusing and broke the doldrums of a most of the game blowout win (see crowd sucks discussion).

Anyone know why they eliminated professional/hired halftime acts?  How much can these things cost?  Since i dont brave the long lines I prefer to be entertained during halftime...

Where is Quick Change?  Is there somewhere that shows when halftime acts are scheduled?

Someone hit that halfcourt shot last year for a car, I believe. That was pretty entertaining.

The had a juggler at one game and gymnysts at another. There were probably others as well but I can't recall them right off hand. Last night was definitely not the first halftime show. You clearly need to go to games more often  ;)

I believe the Zooperstars come every year.

The two games before last night featured a gymnastics squad (against Louisville) and a celebration of 95 years of MU basketball (against Pitt), if I remember correctly.

Gymnasts for UL game were great as well--wouldn't mind seeing others.

Life is good, when the quality of halftime acts is being debated.

I believe it was last year (New year's Day game)  When they brought in some young females who could jump rope.

One of the most entertaining things I've ever witnessed.

If you want entertainment for halftime i suggest going to Lambeau Field when Oneida Nation has there pow-wow on the field!  ::)
