Title: SOTG for USF

DJO gets my vote.  Not a terribly efficient game and no one really stood out.  But he hit some big shots, got some rebounds and didn't turn it over.  Plus he's been pretty solid and hasn't gotten the nod in awhile.

Runner up: Ox.

DJO w/ Jae and Ox right behind... This was the third game in a row that was well played and coached...

DJO.  Against a lock-down defender and found his 17, didn't have the usual out of control turnovers, and pulled in rebounds.

And agree on the coached.  Buzz has this team rolling.  Hopefully they can keep it going in Philly against another team playing good ball lately.

Are we allowed to vote for DJO? I thought we were supposed to find reasons to vote someone else, no?  ;)

DJO by a nose.  His 3 pointer was on point tonight!
I liked the 6 steals out of Crowder, but the fowl trouble limited his minutes.

DJO with Gardner a close second.

Love DG and Jae but DJO--those 6 RBs and D were also big.

DJO hit the big shots before the game was decided and to start getting a lead (although the first 6 by the ox-in-the-box were impressive).

I picked Jae.  Shot a bit better and the six steals.  Gardner and DJO tied for second.

DJO.  Simply went out and got his within his role in the offense.  Everything goes well for everyone else when DJO does this.

DJO by a small margin over Gardner & Crowder.

I have to go with Gardner.  He was unstoppable early and got us off to a good start.  His play has been crucial since Otule's injury.  Outstanding touch around the basket and can finish through contact.

DJO. Jae had too many poor shot selections. DG gets some consideration, but DJO's shots were bigger.

DJO.   He played great defense....played under control....great on the break and hit the shots.   Great team win and Ox is a close second (followed by Jae and JWilson), but for this one, I have to vote DJO.

Only 2 turnovers???   Props to Junior as well!

DJO, he was killing it in the first half and had quite a few daggers. And zero turnovers was immense. Jae may have filled the statsheet, but much of that was by the time this one was decided.

DJO was wide open, because of Gardner.

It is rather funny how we all take DJO for granted...an effortless 17 points.  DjO's 3's and slashing allowed the inside game to get started tonight.  DJO Hands down.

Here's what's really amazing. Tonight was DJO's lowest point total of any Big East game this season. Previously, he had scored 18+ in every contest. And tonight would be at most his second BE SOTG? Honestly, I think it'd be his first.

DJO is definitely taken for granted. He's an amazingly consistent scorer, the kind of guy any team would take in a heartbeat.

Definitely makes everyone else's job easier on offense.  He's the kind of guy other teams have to game plan for and if you leave him open, he'll make you pay.  Hope Mayo can step up a bit next year in his absence, with TJ Taylor filling Mayo's role this season.

DJO  Hardly think he is taken for granted but as the rest of the team has gotten better he has become an important part of a solid team instead of the guy we must have score 20+ every game or we lose. Love the Momentum!!

Gardner getting Gilchrist in foul trouble and out of most of the game was a big factor IMO.  Gotta go with him.

It is nice having a four-headed monster of which anyone on any given night can get SOTG

DJO, Jae, Ox and everyone else (which leads with 7)

My vote was for Crowder... turnovers were the difference in this game and Crowder had 6 steals!

What's the holdup for the change from "TBD" to "DJO"?  Other games it's been decided within an hour after the game.

Just sayin.

It's great to be able to have so many different SOTG.  Let's hope this continues so at the end of each year, we've got several players chosen as SOTG multiple times and not just one or two with the majority.
