Title: Bad weekend for the Crean in-laws
Post by: mileskishnish72 on January 22, 2012, 09:37:18 PM
Rooting today for the team of my youth (NYG) and the team of my dotage (NEP). Too bad Crean's in-laws lost both games. If they had both won we'd have had two weeks of Joanie (I mean MU84).

Jim's handshake at the end of the game was a little d-baggish.....

Watching him after this game and after the 49er/Lions game I'd say Jim is at least consistent - he's a bad loser and a bad winner. Fox just announced he refused a brief interview after the game so they had to congratulate him on a good season in absentia. What a tool.

He can't remember if he's a born again Christian or or a multiple DUI offender, or both.

Great, great guy though. Just ask a family member.

Fox said Jim refused the post game interview. That's just perfectly Crean.

This is not a big deal in my opinion. I never understood why it is mandatory for these guys to meet with the media, especially right after a loss.  SF just lost a highly emotional game where they did not seem to get the benefit of a couple big calls.  Why is the media entitled to an interview?  Maybe it's because I never watch the press conference, but is it that big of a deal if he answers the media's pressing questions the next day?

Jim Jim over here... "Is Alex Smith your starter next season?" "Why didn't you run more in the 4th quarter?" "What do you say to a guy like Kyle Williams after a game like this?" What do you think of the ultra-quick whistle on the Ahmad Bradshaw Fumble forward progress stopped play?

It is mandatory to meet the media after the game because it is entertainment and if no one watches no one gets paid.  I hope he gets fined by the league.  Jim Harbaugh is a jerk.  His brother John at least has the professionalism to take it like a man when things go wrong.  Jim and Tom the Tool Crean should write a book.  All that's missing with these two turkeys is the pumpkin pie.

Might be a jerk, but one hell of a coach.

We will see next year.  In the NFL the higher you finish the tougher the schedule the next year.  San Fran has no quarterback.  they are in the worst conference in football but next year they will probably play the Packers, Saints etc.  If he wins 10 games he will be a great coach.

Did I hear correctly during one of the games the Mom and Dad Harbaugh were watching the games at home in Milwaukee???  I had not idea they still lived in the area.

Yeah, Jim Nantz pointed that out during the NE/BAL game.

As for Jim and John, Jim seems like a bit of a d-bag (good football coach, though) but John seems like a pretty good guy.  Not a big fan of the Ravens, but I would have liked to see John get to the SB.

When I'm down, I read peegs.com. Especially after an IU loss.

Where did I hear this before?

"6. Crean is a terrible X's and O's Coach...how many layups did Wisky hit last night...same thing happened late in the UK game.....stop clapping and be a Coach..go to a freaking ZONE! He is terrible at making in-game adjustments!!!!!"

"Time and player management is a science and was one of RMK's strengths despite a few fatal flaws . I think Crean will get better at this with time but unfortunately this team is running out of winning opportunities. I know that you can't coach by committee but a little additional input from the assistants might have changed the outcome of this game. I still like Crean and think he is the right man for the job and can't wait to see next year's team but this team needs strong guidance from the bench in order to win at crunch time."
