Well, if he is at Todd Mayo's school hopefully we can get a real read on him.
From the Clemson page in September:
Matt Atewe lists Auburn, UGA, Georgia Tech, Va-Tech, Florida, VCU, WVU, WKU, UNLV, Xavier, Clemson, UVA, Detroit, Bama, Tennessee & more.
He's got soft touch around the rim, can block and alter shots. He also has some decent post moves around the basket.
My initial gut is a 6-9 project doesn't sound worth the risk. At 6-11 or above you might get Mbao, but you might get Chris Otule. But to hope a 6-9 player develops, unless he is still growing, seems like a tough roster spot to eat up, especially if Otule gets two more years with Gardner, so I don't see how he gets any freshman minutes.
We don't really know for sure if Otule will play two more years.
Is he getting playing time at Notre Dame Prep? With the track record of players we've gotten from there and the heavy interest it sounds like he's one to watch.

So our options are either:
A: Can't score, can't catch, can run the court but can only defend quick, athletic centers not stronger ones.
B: Can't score, can't catch, good defender but hurt all the time.
Sucks to be a MU fan.
How many NCAA's have we been too in a Row? How many times have we finished with a less then 500 record in the Big East? How many times have we had more then 7 top 100's on our roster (projected for next year) that does not include Davante or Mayo. When have we had more then 5 NBA player's at one time?
I think we are on a pretty good run for a small private school in Milwaukee. How many private schools would rate higher then us over the last 10 years. Not many.
