Why does Lousiville always look so bad when on national TV?

^so true. it's difficult to project even a 2nd place team right now, imho. with the usual higher level teams being down this year (pitt, nova, ville...), the middle group seems like it will consist of more teams than normal.

Sure seems like nobody is good besides Cuse.  But also looks like SHU isn't bad like usual, Cincy has their act together now, and ND may not be as bad as they started.  Would sure be nice to rack up a few and pull away from the huge pack of mediocre teams.

At this point, not winning the next three games at home would be incredibly disappointing.

Been saying that for weeks.

This is the year for MU to make a charge. crap, 13-5 could be good enough for second place the way these early results have gone.

Interesting bit in the espn.com recap saying that they honored the 1987 Providence team at halftime.  Pitino was supposed to be part of the festivities but went to the locker room with his team and didnt come out until the 2nd half.

My parents at the game made it sound like he didn't even coach in the second half, I don't know if he came back after halftime.

He spent a significant amount of time talking to and teaching Russ Smith something.  The announcers fixated on it for a while, apparently he did something wrong that required coaching.

From the part of the game I saw he spent time on the sideline talking to the players...teaching them up instead of barking at the players on the court.

Good thing they have another game before we play them.  I never like to be the next team for the loser of a drubbing like that.
