Wes played a very strong game. He hustles almost every play, defends extremely well, drives to the basket, can lead a break and can shoot medium and long. Well worth the 7 mil/year. He also made a behind the back pass that should be on a nights top ten.

Agreed. Well worth it.
I think he'll make Blazers fans forget about Roy and his bum knees.
Not bad for an undrafted player from Marquettte, eh?
Does he give Buzz a percentage in thanks for unleashing him?

From all I have been told - most definitely. A large percentage, at that.

credit, not dollars.
Probably would be gettin' more than that or at least a year or two earlier had he not been harnessed by the boy wonder.

I thought him going undrafted actually helped him. Otherwise he would have signed a guaranteed 2 year deal where he would have been paid much less in year 2 than his deal with Portland paid him. He was only able to go to the open market after a very successful first year because he was an undrafted free agent on a one year rookie deal.

Correct. That's how he ended up making more than Blake Griffin, the first pick in the draft.
