Looks like we may need to look for a new marquee victory.
-
Just not a talented team.
-
watched the whole game today, they are just not good. slow, bad shooting, no energy. UM dominated from the opening tip.
-
Why is anyone surprised?
Sorry but Bucky was roadkill before the season started. Most knowledgable basketball fans knew that

A lot of knowledgable fans thought for a long time that Bo could take talent-less players and vie for a Big Tenwelve championship each year. And I am not being facetious about the knowledgable. Just look at their rankings this year even though there were signs of the team not being that good.
Looks like when Bo doesn't have the talent it is hard to win. He is still an excellent X and O guy just not as good as everyone gave him credit for.

Hindsight is always 20/20. I bet UW still makes the tourney.

Ok buddy, knowledgeable fans also thought this many other times and they won the Big Ten.

Enlighten me, what teams will finish in the top ten this year?

This is a MU fan site, who the f@ck cares what is wrong with the stinking Badgers. They suck end of story.

Amen!

Every MU fan should care as every game they lose, we lose off our RPI.
-
It hurts our RPI, sure. But if by the end of the year we can taunt Badger fans that our win over them is no more important than our wins over UWM, UWGB, Nofolk St? I can live with that.
-
+1... That win was 2 weeks at least of feeling good about the team and a year of bragging rights. Who cares about how their losses affect our RPI. At this point, a top 3 seed is out of the question and BE title is probably out of sight. So lets just hope to get a top 5 finish, to the BE semis, and see what happens in the tourney. If how bad Wisconsin ends up being pushes us off the bubble somehow, we don't deserve to get in. Definitely still enough talent to get win a couple games and make it to the s16.

I agree with your point, but why is a 3-seed out of the question?
-
They aren't a very good team. Losing Leuer and Nankivil was bigger than a lot of people thought.
I believe I said this a couple of weeks back. ;D
*self-righteous pat on the back*

it shows how difficult consistency is in college basketball...i chuckle when people get on Buzz' back. not saying the guys doesn't make mistakes, but just being in the tourney every year is no small feat. everyone knows bo can coach, it will be interesting to see how this effects the way he recruits. for whatever reason, he has a few kids who aren't doing what he thought they would be capable of developing into.

Getting back up to the top 12 will be extremely difficult... The schedule sets up nicely from here, but it's hard not to imagine a couple more losses with the inconsistency that's been show. That will keep us from surpassing that 15-25 range. If the halves were reversed on Saturday, this board would be on def-con 5, with some expecting an invite to the CBE tourney at the end of the year.

I dont care if the Badgers lost every game this year. I will take the RPI hit for bragging rights over are little brother to the west.
Plus lets face it, they already lost their Super Bowl to us early last month so..
-
Plus, we can argue that we broke their will and shattered their aura of invincibility at the Kohl.
-
Not being from the great state of Wisconsin, I don't give a crap about the rivalry, I care about our RPI and having a marquee win.
-
Not enough traditionals.

On the suckometer, the Badgers suck almost as much as ND sucks. That's bad. Two teams I don't care about in terms of our RPI! If we get an RPI bump from beating them, that's icing on the cake.

I'd been thinking about the uniqueness of that result all year. It's pretty obvious the positive impact the Badgers' style of play has on tempo free stats. I kinda feel bad for Ken though, it's gotta be tougher to justify the paywall when people can point to this result so easily.

Dekkar and Koenig better be special or UW is in for a middle of the pack (or worse) Big 10 future. I thought the drop would start this year and said as much last year around this time. Bo is a great coach, but he can't turn the Josh Gassers of the world into All Big 10 players. Unless they shoot lights out (Brust 7-7 on 3s vs UNLV) they're just not very good. Can't believe that without their AA point guard they'll be very good next year either. Indiana and maybe Iowa are shedding their positions as perennial doormats. Bad news for the Badgers.
-
AA point guard. LOL.

So...

How does the top three rankings translate to an NCAA berth based on previous seedings?

These mean nothing since the bids do not come out for two months and at least 16 more games. We could play us into a high seed or completely out of the tournament.
-
AA point guard. LOL.
I didn't have the internet "skills" required to make that part of my post teal :)

If the tournament was starting today, probably a 5 seed.

Argue? I thought that's exactly what we did!
