But lose at 'Cuse. Just my gut feeling as I will be happy going 1-1 this week. Need to steal one this week
Very doubtful

Really? Only if Blue is more liberal with his high fivin'
This will be a winless road trip.
Marquette will beat Georgetown!
Watched Georgetown play on Saturday, they didn't look that good. Think MU has a decent shot to beat them.
I have a (probably overly optimistic) feeling that Marquette is going to take down Syracuse. After these past two losses, it seems they can fly a little further under the radar and take it to the Orange in New York.
I wish the order of these next two games were reversed.

They pulled away from Providence in the last two minutes to win by 9. Mostly on free throws. They did not dominate.
I'd be thrilled to take one of these two, and for the pub prefer that it be Cuse but no need to be picky. Also have to be a minimum of two of the three on the following homestand, and because I hate home losses I'll actually be disappointed with any loss.
They played bad against Providence and still won. How they played against Providence has little bearing on how they will play against us on Weds.
They have looked good to very good the entire season except for the last game.
The way we are playing and the way Syracuse is playing I see no chance for us to win there unless we make about 12 threes.........

I don't at all. Id rather face Gtown(much more winnable) off of a win.
After watching Cuse take down DePaul rather handily today, I do not see it. There zone is nothing special but unless DJO and Crowder are out of there mind I can
not see it. Jake Thomas will be key next year as there open shots everywhere in that zone. The problem will be on D, they are long and athletic, much more then
Vandy. They are deep, this maybe the best team JimB has had since Carmelo. This is the type of game that Otule would have been important to have, same as GT.
I see two losses, hope I am wrong. MU can get Pitt and Lousiville at home.
Do the players on Georgetown slap 5's with each other frequently? I doubt it, they look like a bunch of thugs over there with no respect for the palms of their teammates.

I think you should say this under every post!!! This is at least the 3rd time you have said something like this. Give it a rest, not funny, anymore!
This week could be an 0 -2 week, or a 1 - 1 week. However, this hard core fan thinks it very well may be a 2 - 0 week. The team got some bad stuff out of their system, Coach Williams and the other coaches finally figured out how to best use J. Wilson and D. Gardner within their rotation, and the Warriors seem re-charged. Let's hope so!

Wrong! It's getting funnier.

Damn, more of that reality crap!
i could see 0-2,1-1 or 2-0, honestly could go either way. wouldnt be the end of the world if we did lose both, back to back road games at top 15 teams is not easy for anyone. Not unlike what Louisville just went through.

I agree with your thoughts on Gardner and Wilson. Gardner just abused a taller Yarou in the paint yesterday and Wilson is developing a nice jumper and is showing that he can finish around the rim. If they can continue to improve we'll be closer to a top ten team at the end of the year. Of course, if Otule comes back, the sky's the limit, as it was when he was in the line-up.

Top ten teams - Georgetown is #9 in the ESPN/USA Today poll.

I watched Marquette on Thursday, they didn't look that good. Think GU has a decent shot to beat them. ;D
We played our worst game of the year on Saturday and still won by 9. I'll take that. We won't have as off a night as that again. Just like Marquette won't be as bad as they were on Thursday against Vandy.
It's likely to be a very tough game as our battles usually are.

I agree we have a slim shot at Syracuse, but UWM took down DePaul rather handily too, so hard to use DePaul as a measuring stick.

As long as he's Ringing out Ahoya on Wednesday ;D
Sorry to sound so naive....what does the citrus have that they didn't have last year when we beat them twice?
I realize we don't have JFB.....
What was it that Howard Cossell said? On any given night.....
Home court advantage? A Fab Melo that isn't useless? The #1 ranking?
We can beat them, but it will be a lot tougher at the Carrier Dome than it was in Milwaukee or Cleveland. And we aren't only missing JFB, but also Otule, who averaged 27.5 mpg against the Orange last year.
Brew, you are starting to sound a bit Abe-ish. ;D
Yes, it will be a very tough game. Gotta have faith!
Go Warriors!!!!!

Devil's advocate ;)
I think we have as good a chance to beat Syracuse as anyone has had this year. But I also think they are a very deserving #1, and belong right there in the conversation with the Kentuckys, North Carolinas, and Ohio States of the world when people are talking about NC contenders.
I just wish the game was later in the day...I have a wake at 11:00 am for a dear friend and could easily see the events running into the afternoon. I don't want to miss MU vs #1, but I also don't want to miss my friend's memorial.
My condolences on your loss.
Let's hope the fellas play like Warriors!!!!!!

I think Gtown routes us and we lose a close one late to Cuse
Team has been in DC since Sunday, focus shouldn't be an issue. We win this one.

I think it comes down to stopping Otto Porter on the glass in D.C. I watched him play against Providence and he was ridiculously active under the hoop. Seeing as we don't like to box out, he could be a huge headache for us. Here's a little statistical evidence--he's leading the team in rebounding with seven per game and had 14 against Louisville and 12 against Providence. The scary part is that he's only a freshman, so you know he's getting better with each game.

Georgetown fans around the world have major man and normal crushes on Otto Porter. He is amazing on the boards. Both @ Louisville and against providence he had put back's late in the game to seal the victory. Kid's nose for the ball is amazing and his basketball IQ is off the charts. He plays like an upperclassmen already. He is going to be a monster especially once his 3pt shot develops(and it will it's the one skill that every player outside of Jeremiah Rivers improves at Georgetown).
Unfortunately, even though Pomeroy basis his odds on our season as a whole (not on the games since Wisconsin, which have been played at a much lower level), he gives us just a 4% chance of sweeping Gtown and Syracuse and a 40% chance of getting at least one of the two.
Georgetown is a bad matchup for us with all their players that crash the boards, and Syracuse is just awesome and a bit mad at us for bouncing them last year, so I will be pleasantly surprised if we come back with one win. But hey, I thought we'd beat able to handle Vandy in a tight battle on our home court, and was completely wrong, so maybe we step it back up next year.
