in the same season in IU history. All the Crean haters who thought he would fail could not be more wrong. He is getting it done big time.

With a legit center and more 4-5 star players than Marquette has had at one time under his tenure.
Its Indiana, Its Indiana! Why didn't he get any bigs at MU?

The answer is in your response.
And mu's big east win total has decreased three years in a row with buzz.

Yet he's gotten farther each time in the NCAA tournament. Weird, huh?
IU ain't that good.

And the point of bringjng this up in the thread is .....
Having a point guard who scores is very beneficial. A nice effort with all five starters scoring in double digits. If Zeller stays, along with next years top recruiting class, IU will be a top five team for some time.
Andy Putz says its good for college bball that Indiana is relevant again. What? And Crean is coach of the year so far.
I'm gonna be sick...
Indiana plays hard, credit to Crean for that. Like most of his teams, they'll tune out his Johnny junior high act and collapse. I do like some of their players though. Zeller is a total stud and the guy who hit the three against KY is solid. Oh, and Crean still parts his hair straight down the middle. Ohio state looks very soft. Big Ten is down, despite experts claiming otherwise. Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan state are all down. I will say this, and I like our team this year...Indiana would give us big problems if they (IU) make the NCAA.
I know Crean's a douche canoe, but I've found myself, surprisingly, not really feeling pissed that his team is beating college basketball giants this year. Good for the players. As shitty as he treated MU when he left, you have to credit him for bringing them back to relevance and beyond.

Maybe you don't feel pissed because he left Marquette
4 YEARS AGO and you've moved on.
It's easier to win in the big Ten. It's hard to stomcach Crean because he left MU.

That's exactly what I am saying. I just don't care about it anymore. But I am super pumped that ChicosBailBonds is back in action. I don't think 4 years would be enough time for me to get over him leaving/getting kicked out.
It is a big accomplishment. Congrats. From a recruiting standpoint, he is doing what he needs to do by keeping the best Indiana talent at home. That should be enough for success there. I guess this answers the question I had in the sparty thread. The question remaining for this young of a team is how will they do on the road?
Crean's becoming a legend in Indiana.

Legends are made in March. See Knight, Bobby
Crean will never approach the accomplishments of Stew Morrill.
Let's put this in perspective. Yes, he won those games. He has put together a good team.
Regarding the KY game, IU won on a "hail Mary" shot at home. Congrats.
Re the Ohio game, the Buckeyes turned the ball over on 3 straight possessions. Ohio "lost" that game. Again, congrats to IU for winning....at home.
We will know if IU has truly turned the corner when they can do it on the road.
As much as I dislike Tommy Tanning Booth, i am glad, as a Hoosier native (fom a long, long time ago), that IU is competitive. The state has an impressive hoops legacy....Coach Wooden, IU, Gene Keady, Larry Bird, Valpo, Butler, and even the Purple Aces (back in the day). The basketball world seems to be better aligned when IU is competitive.
Notice, I didn't mention the team from SB. ND sucks :)
How many times does a team even play 1 and 2 in the same season? Especially before Jan 1?
My point is it is so rare because so few teams actually play 1 and 2 in the same year.
As much as I hate to admit it, used to happen to ND back in the 70's....that is play #1 & #2. Actually ND also played IU back then too.
Back in the 70's...probably proves your point ;D

One of my best friends is a shrink who often deals with the criminally insane. He claims that "middle parters" are significantly over represented among his especially ill patients.

What's your point? MU didn't fire Crean, so they could hire Buzz.
IU knocks off another top ranked team at assembly hall. The conference schedule set up very well for them early
Dan Dakich is insufferable as an announcer.

Still have to win the games. Not everyone does that.

Their first three Big Ten games were against top teams in the conference. They knocked off 2 of the 3. They are most certainly on their way unless they are devastated by injuries, which has been an issue for them the last few years.
Iu shoots 16 of 24 from 3pt today against Penn state. Wow.
