a traditionally undersized team that plays hard but can't win against elite talent...
Will be the normal MU season - if MU plays at their best and things work out, MU may challenge for 5th in the conference. If MU plays like tonight - likely a 9th - 12th place finish in conference...
No way this team competes with Syracuse, Lousiville, Georgetown or UConn this year...
Will be fighting WV, Cincy, ND, Pitt, SH for 5th to 10th, could be worse though...
edit - not a response to getting blown out tonight - this team played poorly against Wash, LSU and UW-Milwaukee besides tonight...
Yeah, I pretty much agree with this. We have a ceiling that we are not going to be able to burst through because of a lack of height. And frankly, we have very few options. I mean, maybe we should start Jamil at forward, but he (and Mayo) had more minutes than Vander. Maybe Juan needs to see more time? But I've got nothing...outside of revamping the defense.
You are stating the obvious. Can't bitch about it.
We have not been the same team since Otule went down. While his absence has something to do with that, I think it is not just that. We have been playing bigger teams that can match our athleticism, and we just can't play those teams well.
Now we'll get a lot of press. Especially the way we lost,
