If we win next Thursday against Vanderbilt it will be our best non-conference record since joining the big east. We had one other season with one loss in non-conference play, but had only ten wins. If we beat Vanderbilt we will be 12-1 with four wins over power conference teams.
And it could be worse...we could have been one of the 49 Milwaukee fans at the BC tonight. What a rivalry!

Yeah. I saw maybe ten people in Panthers colors, and about half of them were that group in the student section. A few years ago when the "rivalry" was first renewed, I remember the BC being packed. Interest seems to have decreased steadily since.
Depends on where you were. There were a decent number in the 400s. Nothing like what Wisconsin or even Syracuse brings, but enough that there were notable ovations when UW-M scored or got a call.
Still, we should never play in their building again. This should be a buy game.
It's really ashame since the last two games have been competitive. This game was closer than the final score. Jeter is building a nice program. However, our team seems to be in a little funk for whatever reason. Hope they can put in a good game against Vandy.
I think the break is coming at a good time. They all seem tired, and maybe some time resting with their families will reenergize them.

The team should apologize to you. You deserve better!
This UWM team is not a bad team. MU is better and played better last night. As for it being competitive, it really was not. At no point during the game did I ever have the feeling that UWM could make a game of it. They did not.
The game lacked a flow because of the grade school officials at the game. Add to that, both teams shot poorly.
But, to the "funk". This was the 3rd game in 5 days. Travel included in those days means only one practice during that time. Under those circumstances, I was pleased with the energy and effort.

I agree. I thought Marquette basically dominated the game from start to finish. They had a little foul trouble and a poor shooting night but at no time was the final result in question.
I do hope they renew the series. If I recall the last series was a 4/1. I seen to recall that being regarded as very favorable terms for us. Hopefully MU can replicate that in the next contract. I suppose one factor is the fact that Milwaukee has no travel expense and can treat it much like a home game with the exception of the gate receipts.

Hard to really have a rivalry when one team wins all the games. Its almost like the Harlem Globetrotters playing the Washington Generals.

Unless UWM is a buy game, MU is losing on the deal.
UWM is a good team. If they had made a few more of their 3's, it would have been a different/closer game. UWM has a good chance to make the tournament this year. Nothing wrong with beating another tournament team in our non-con schedule.
Go Warriors!!!
