I see that you are ranked this year so I'm sure you have a better team than us, but I'm still looking forward to having a good game to go see tomorrow night. Most people here don't follow basketball much if at all until after the bowl games are through but this is a rare opportunity for us to play a quality opponent. Hopefully we will have a good turnout tomorrow night as well as a good game!
*Eagles.
Do you guys have a main site fans use for basketball like this one?
Nope just general boards which are football dominated. We don't have a lot of basketball tradition. Just 4 final four appearances! Y'all will probably win tomorrow, I just hope we play well.
Well, hopefully we bring our A game tomorrow so you can see how entertaining of a team we are to watch. I got a lot of buddies who usually like to rag after every loss(albeit we havnt this year yet) but when tuning in this year they all comment how fun our style is to watch.
No Shaq legacy, eh?
Just 4 final four appearances?! Jeez, you guys are slacking.
Found some LSU boards on Mu's scout boards. All the Tigers fans seem to think we are going to beat them to submission. Im confident we win but no Otule makes me feel their size could create some trouble.

What happened in your losses to Coastal Carolina and South Alabama? Two narrow wins over Rutgers and Houston as well. Injuries plaguing the team? Youth?
And a good luck to your wildcats tomorrow.
Southern hospitality at its finest.

I mean I guess we're sort of young but we're not a great team. better than last year though so hopefully things are getting turned around a bit compared to the last two seasons.
Lots of size for you guys, but if your freshman PG isn't up to the challenge.......
I just remembered that Trent Johnson is LSU's head coach! MU still owes him one for the '08 Tournament loss (a game Trent watched on TV from the lockerroom).

He's confused. He meant "Warriors"
C'mon dude, you can't get the most inappropriate and unoriginal nickname in all of college athletics right? It's Golden Eagles.

How Trent thought that LSU was an upgrade over Stanford is beyond me.
It's LSU, it's LSU!

The answer is....$$$$.
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/mensbasketball/sec/2008-04-10-lsu-johnson_N.htm
"Johnson, who made in the neighborhood of $600,000 a year at Stanford, is expected to nearly double that at LSU, which has said since Brady was fired on Feb. 7 that it would pay in the $1 million-to-$1.5 million range for a new basketball coach.
Alleva said Johnson will be under a five-year contract, pending approval by the LSU Board of Supervisors later this month. Johnson just completed the fourth year of a five-year contract at Stanford that Stanford athletic director Bob Bowlsby kept saying he would extend but never did. Johnson deflected questions about the uncertain status of his contract at Stanford leading him to LSU."
So at Stanford, he had $600k guaranteed. At LSU, he had about $6 million guaranteed. Easy decision.
And that fact that LSU famously has no admissions standards.

Of all the schools in the country, Stanford has the money. If they did not want to pay him, it's because they did not want him.
Here is an interesting article written right after he left. Essentially, the Stanford AD either wanted him out cause he wasn't his guy. Or was trying to leverage him into a low-priced contract and it bit him in the butt. It's not as though Johnny Dawkins is burning it up out there.

I see what you did there, nice.
Pete Bell still teach at LSU?
Not since he gave butch McCray a house and Ricky roe a new tractor.
It's Marquette Golen Eagles, not flashes. Come'on Les Miles!
Took a few years, but Stanford is finally good this year. They'll be in the bracket.
