Title: SOTG for UNC
Post by: GGGG on December 17, 2011, 05:41:50 PM
I guess Mayo.  He ended up with a lot of points, but didn't shoot all that well after his hot start.  Can't think of a better option though.

Mayo ended up 7 for 15, with 4 for 8 from three after 4 for 4 start. So averaged out.

Jae with 19 and 11 and Vander with 18 are options.

But, with DJO out and Mayo as a freshman stepping in, I'd go with Mayo.

I'd probably go with Mayo, but Vander and Davante should maybe be in the discussion.

Vander had 4 TOs and Mayo 3.  Crowder shot pretty poorly too.

I have settled on Mayo...hit big threes when they needed them.

Mayo. Ugly, sloppy 2nd half for the whole team. Mayo was the definite star of the 1st half.

Jamil Wilson is a stud.

Todd's scoring was the key to building a good lead. I'd go with him.

Jamil is the only one who didnt piss me off at points this game. I say him.

Jamil Wilson has bought into the system and plays hard on every minute on the court. He has NBA potential, especially if he continues work on offensive side of the ball.

To me, it was Mayo.  He really took over at one point in the 1st half.  Especially filling in for DJO.  In the past, how often would the team bog down because of a stud sitting?  Never noticed DJO wasn't playing because of Mayo.  He also had some decent defensive plays.

That said, the guy who excited me the most was JWilson.  He is really an athletic ball player.  Good range, good positioning, quick and gets in the air.  I just love what he brings to the team.

Darius Johnson-Odom.

Had to go with Mayo, top in points, and the rest of the line was good too.

Though I do also give Cadougan a nod for putting a number up in every line of the stat, (9pts, 9ast, 2reb, 1blk, 1stl)

There are several candidates.  I'll go with Mayo because of his big night when finding out about his starting role 10 minutes before the game.

Agreed with rocky, had to be Mayo. Found out he was starting 10 minutes before the tip, filled it up with 22 points, 5 boards, 4 assists.

Career high in points, minutes, made threes, and steals, tied career highs in rebounds and assists, and did it all while committing only 2 fouls. Great game for the young man.
