Title: Too Many Turnovers
Post by: WellsstreetWanderer on December 17, 2011, 05:16:59 PM
Can't get game on the net but watching Gametracker. How can we have so many TOs against this team?  This won't bode well in the BEast if not corrected

12 TO's? Not that bad - about average

Not at all, especially in a game where MU was able to dictate a fast pace.

Yeah, we turned it over 15% of trips compared to our normal 18%, so it was bad.  The only thing we did poorly today was the 23 fouls.  Being better athletes, we shouldn't have given up 29 foul shots.

We also played great 3 point defense for most of the first half, but then gave them open looks the rest of the game and I believe they hit something like 8 of their last 10 treys.

Still, overall a 21-point win against an average team without DJO is a good night.

Monday will be tough if we don't control pace.

Northern Colorado made some nice adjustments in their offense in the second half to get open looks...and they hit most of them.  They were pretty terrible defensively, but I wonder how much of that was their big guy going down on the opening tip.

Too many athletes. We play at fast pace and are bound to get TO's. I'll take the fast pace any day.

That was crazy...never seen a guy get hurt on the tip before.

Agree with Goose.  MU has a lot of athletes.  Northern Colorado was a good team.  We are better.  When we get Otule back we will be force to be reckoned with.
