If Birch transfers would we have a chance of getting him?

Nope. They're still within our conference.
1) Right now MU is scheduled to be using all available scholarships next year, so it would involve either tearing up an LOI or kicking someone off the team to give Birch a spot past May.
2) I want to say that Big East bylaws prohibit transfers within the conference.

According to Rivals was not even considering MU. That would be a big loss for PITT.
What the heck is going on at PITT, their football program is in shambles with coaching problems

The move to the ACC is not seen as a positive? Fear of PITT ending up like BC?

You can't really base possible transfer locations on previous recruiting, especially mid year transfers. If you're going at mid year, you kind of just have to go wherever there's a spot for you to land.

True, but one would think that their is a clause to the transfer rule due to Pitt moving to the ACC. They would most likely want him to transfer some where within the big east then to someone in the ACC.

Well, these two situations aren't linked. Sometimes it just doesn't work out. (Maymon, Smith)

Of course there is no link. Never said there was a correlation between the two, just brought up the fact the football program has coaching issues. When you are a top 10 recruit and leave a program, that is a big hit. Understand that things don't work out, just like Jabari Brown at Oregon, another McDonalds AA that left. BTW, anyone know where he transferred to?

In a thread about this transfer, you added, "What the heck is going on at PITT, their football program is in shambles with coaching problems."
While you may not have intentionally linked the two, you certainly can't blame me for thinking you did.
Fair, guess bringing up two topics in one thread is not warranted. Just found Jabari Brown is eyeing Missouri and Georgia Tech.

Brown is deciding between Missouri and Georgia Tech.
Heck, Maybe the kid just wanted to play in the Big East.
Also, Stacey Poole from Kentucky plans on transferring. He's a great athlete, but was never given the opportunity to play because of the talent at UK.

My understanding is to transfer within the BE you have to sit two years. So it is possible but sitting two years effectively prohibits transfers.
Birch was at risk of ditching the Pitt program this past summer....when the assistant coach that recruited him left the program. He definitely had an issue with that as a lot of other kids do as well. On top of that, he was told in his recruitment (possibly by the coach that isnt there anymore) that he wouldn't see any minutes at the 5, only the 4. Dixon, though, has him playing some minutes at the 5 and he isnt happy about it. So...his recruiter is gone and he is playing minutes at a position he doesnt want to play. He's an AA; he could go to just about any program and play the 4. The hot rumor is that he is thinking about UK.
