Since the Todd Mayo nickname threads were fun, I thought I'd put this out there for Davante. "Ox" isn't a bad nickname, but Davante does NOT like the "Ox" nickname...
I have to admit that some of the cliched bigman nicknames would be pretty good.....Tiny.....Tank......but I like the "Big Rig"
Let's hear some more suggestions....
Sheesh
Jumbo Motherf*ckin'
If he doesn't like the nickname "Ox", he sure as sh** isn't going to like "big rig".
NT
I thought he was already called The Unstoppable Force of Nature
I think the rest just rolls off one's lips. Has a nice ring to it.

shades of JFB, yet still his own.
FUFON
BOHICA
If chant factors....BO-HEE-CA.....is the best chant ever.....schedule PSU and call it a done deal!
How about DOG? For Davante Ox Gardner? Then when we see him, we can all say "What's up, DOG?" or "You my DOG!". And every time he comes on the court, they can play "Who Let The Dogs Out?". And when he scores, the whole student section can start barking.
Hopefully it won't inspire him to transfer to Georgia, or Washington, or Fresno State.
And anyone who needs teal for that...well...sheesh
Clinic.

So wrong...but so right.
my friends and I have been calling him Beef since last year.
Sexual Chocolate?! :o
Cracked Sidewalks calls him The Unstoppable Force of Nature (TUFON). It's not catchy at all, but I'm also not going to stop printing it.
The Landscaper
He refers to himself on Twitter as igetbuckets54 or something like that, so I say "Buckets"
I'm in for BIG SHEESH
That reminds me...
Can we all remember not to "tweet" at recruits? Thanks.
I know personally everybody calls him "Dey Dey"
Pronounced (day day)
I have been calling him the "Dancing Bear" since he suited up.

I suggest you google Dancing Bear before you continue this nickname... also, make sure the kids and wife are not around. ;D
LMAO! Dancing Bear! :)
Wonderful website! Very educational.
hards...long before your computer smut...the dancing bear has been a circus performer. The image brings to mid for most people a large but nimble sort. Sorry for you it takes u where it took you. And maybe Devante would not object either way ;D
Dancing Bear is also a nickname used at times for Zach Randolph a big big guy who is very nimble. As a matter of fact Zach and Devante were similar players in collge and Zach has expanded on his repitoire over his time in the NBA and became a real star from inside and out.

Let's go with Captain Kangaroo or Mr. Green Jeans. I don't think any of them moved to a life of smut after leaving the Captain Kangaroo Show. ;)
My friends and I like to refer to him as the "Big Hoss"
How about "Smiley"

Do you know for a fact that's why Randolph is called Dancing Bear? Maybe he had a "alternative" college job to earn cash between games ;D

Woah. You mess with yayo bro?
His nickname is Dae Dae.
How about "the Kraken." I know Jimmy Mac says, "Release the Kraken" every time Vander dunks but in the recent version of Clash of the Titans the true immovable force of nature is the sea monster which they called the Kraken.
Maximus, the merciful.

He certainly is a "Big Ole Hoss".
How about Butterbean?
Hmmm, Jae, Dae-Dae, DJO, ... I hear the beginning of a numbing chant coming from the student section--perfect for BE play.
I think that we should call him Snorlax. He is a force down in the paint, because he is difficult to move around. Snorlax was also difficult to move on the way to Lavender Town, Cycling Road, and Routes 12 and 16 (depending on the pokemon version you enjoy best)! We must ensure that someone has a pokeflute, in case he forget to set his alarm the night before a game :)

No one else may appreciate it, but as someone who used to watch Pokemon with his niece, I do. And I'm all for the Snorlax nickname 8-)
Quality.
