If they shot like this against us Tuesday, it would have been a blow-out. Not only poor percentage, but some shots have not hit iron.
Was really hoping for them to come out strong against Duke. Still early, but they do not look like the same team. A step or two slower than Duke.
It helps immensely that Duke has the Plumlees. Can't get into the lane as easily, more contested shots. Had Otule not gone down, we might have blown them out.
True, but they shot well from 3 early against MU. They can't get close on a wide open look today. They are clanging more than a Salvation Army bell ringer.
We must've done something to shake their confidence. :)

+1. Both teams not tearing it up on shooting but Duke is controlling the boards.
Duke's killin' 'em. So...
MU=Wash
Duke much greater than Wash
Duke much greater than MU
off this set of games anyway.

Not really. Washington shot the ball much better against MU and got off to a fast start. The exact opposite happened today. And I wouldn't really say they are "killing" them. It is 12 point game.

Agreed. Didn't watch but apparently Washington was missing open threes early, in the same gym? I think MU-Washington is a slightly different game as well if we have a chance to practice our Otule-less gameplan as well. Not saying we're better than Duke, but I think we'd do a little bit better against UW a second time around.
6 point game right now
WU has lost two of their bigs in this game due to unjury... Duke is playing a different WU team than MU played and the lead is less than 10 pts... MU can hang with Duke if not control the game....

The reason that Wash. shot the ball poorly today is the Duke D vs. our D. It's only close now because it's garbage time and the Duke starters are off the floor. Could've been 20 or more if Coach K wanted it.

We would have some problems with the bigs of Duke, especially if we had to play the game without Chris.

Did you watch the game? It does not appear as such.
Sounds like our win over Washington looks better a few days later. We beat them by 2 when their shooting well and don't have injuries. Duke beats them only by 6 when they're down two bigs and shooting for crap.
I'd love to see what we'd do against Duke this year.
By the way, Indiana is up one on Kentucky at the half.

Duke had them down 18 in the second half and sat their starters. Not anywhere near as close as the final score indicates.

The 1st half, when Duke built the lead, Washington was clanking wide open shot after wide open shot. In fact, at halftime, they even showed some highlights (if that word is appropriate) of Washington's inaccuracy. As I asked, did you watch the game? I am guessing just the 2nd half. By that time, Washington lost 2 players to injury.

well I was sure it was Duke v Wash? Yes, yes, it was. And Duke was up 18 with 11 mins to play. Then....garbage time.

Now I am wondering if you actually read and comprehend. I am guessing not to that, as well. You might want to start with your first post and comment and go from there. ::)

/quote] Duke had 'em down 18 and won easily with its subs in the game. We won on a last second shot and were outrebounded by 14. Maybe it's not me who didn't see one or both games.
