I like Buzz's concept on "Turkeys". It is a far more impactful informal defensive stat than "deflections". I would love to see MU put the Turkey Count in their stats for each game.
I also see amongst the tweets that Dead Badger is now some fans' term for 10 straight defensive stops.
It would be awesome to put it on the scoreboard for team stats.
For those who don't know, Buzz considers three straight stops on defense a turkey.

And to figure out someway to get student section to recognize it after it happens. Perhaps a GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE!!! or TURKEY TURKEY TURKEY!!!

....and ten stops in row is a "Badger". ;D
Note: I'm not taking credit. Just trying to reinforce.
Instead of the eagle noise they used to make after made threes they could have a loud turkey gobble over the speakers at the BC.
I'll start asking Broeker how many turkeys after each game. Maybe he'll know if the BC would put "turkey" on the scoreboard. LOVE the idea of the students yelling gobble gobble gobble. Of course, the students don't even distract free throws properly.

What noise does an eagle make?

seriously?? that would look/sound real good on sports center and really intimidate the opposing team. it might even hurt their feelings...i'll pass on the turkey sounds. i'd rather hear a big beer fart ;D
