Boise, SDSU, SMU, UCF, Houston......good for football.   Good for basketball?    At least we will hold on to the hoops we have.    Have fun, new AD.

I can't imagine they are all joining in both sports. Any word on that?

Unconfirmed, Boise and SDSU, football only.    SMU, Houston, UCF, all sports.    SMU!   Finally, someone for DePaul to beat up on!

I would really like to see the addition of UCF.  Second largest university in the nation.

And about to get hammered by the NCAA for violations in multiple sports.

hopefully, boises snub by the BCS further pushes them towards joining the BE.

They are definitely more deserving of the bid than WVU,  speaking of WVU i hope they enjoy playing in a large bowl for the last time ...... ever

Nothing's impossible, but it is unlikely. Texas and A&M are much more serious about basketball than they were 30 years ago, so it is much harder for UH. Their coach is not very dynamic which is needed at a place like it. They have not won a NCAA tournament game since 1984 so the current students have no memory of the Coogs be great. Also, as a commuter school in a pro sports town they have a hard time getting media attention. Maybe more money from a BE contract will help the whole program. I hope so, they were team that got me into basketball.
