As to the big boys, this is a fascinating threesome for the Badgers to play in quick succession because they all are built to play fast and "athletically." It's fair to say we are built differently. UNC seems to be the most complete of the three, as they not only have kids who are outstanding athletes but also are generally very skilled, and they have a great point guard. Playing in the Dean Dome UW will need to dictate tempo, stay out of foul trouble and shoot well to make the game competitive into the last minutes. A very tall order. But they are fairly deep and they have a chip on their shoulder that weighs a ton in a year when their most significant local and national press coverage has been about sexual assaults on coeds. So this game is once again their Super Bowl. With the Big East fragmenting, the fires of hate in their rivalry with UW are the one constant that will sustain their fans for the next couple years, and they desperately want a win. From what I have seen of them, they are dangerous, but as usual they are a defensive team that thinks they are an offensive team, which makes them vulnerable to smart opponents. As swenson famously once put it about a game in which Bo bested Izzo, don't be surprised if this turns out to be a chess versus checkers match. I'd call this 65% for the good guys (with 10% of that being home court advantage).

The advantage at every position shows that guy is clueless. After watching them again last night, I would objectively say it's pretty even when comparing starting line-ups. 2 for us (DJO v. Gasser, Crowder v. Brusewicz), 2 for them (Taylor v. Cadougan, Bergrren v. Otule) and a push (Blue/Evans). I think our bench is much better. Their home court is huge. Not really, remember this coming from BBFran... He always has low expectations for the Badgers. And if MU does win, it's our "SuperBowl", so it is to be expected.
Also, I don't understand the shots they take at Izzo. If there's any coach in the Big Ten that has shown he can supposedly out-coach people, it is Tom Izzo. His record in March speaks for itself.

Let's just say some remnants still exist in gratefully fading pictures that were far worse in terms of the fashion sense. Way too many UW fans think that any team with black players who play at a high tempo (read almost all teams but UW), are playing undisciplined street ball. They really don't see the discipline and understand shot selection unless the game is slowed way down and at least 5 passes are made before a shot. It is a foggy, often racist world that too many UW fans live in.
