Title: Madison Game
Post by: Clam Crowder on November 29, 2011, 03:56:01 PM
Anyone know how to get tickets for the cheapest possible price? I have a group of 5 students that want to go, but we haven't seen anything lower than 48...One of us wants to scalp when we get there. Anybody know of anything cheaper than that? Thanks.

Stub hub has an assortment of tix, but I didn't see any packages with 5 tickets.  I assume you all want to sit together?  If not you can get some upper level seats for about 5-10 dollars cheaper in some 2 or 3 seat deals.

Unfortunately I'm not much help with tickets, but if you need some help rationalizing the spending, then I'm your man.

If you figure that you guys are each willing to spend x amount on tickets, go to scalp and see what happens. If you get your tix, great. If you don't you'll probably still be able to go to a Madison bar, have a hell of a time, be totally obnoxious when we win, AND afford a two-bed hotel room to crash overnight.

I suspect scalping and/or last minute ebay/craigslist deals will be plentiful come gameday considering many UW fans will have more interest in gearing up for the Big10/11/12 Championship Game.  Just a hunch

Just picked up 3 in the lower bowl, on Stubhub. I got them now because I needed an odd number -- always a problem. The way to get the cheapest tickets is to scalp at the game, but with an odd number of seats needed, you might have to buy 6. Someone posted a Craigs List link to tickets and there seemed to be a ton of cheap ones. Stubhub is a quick, painless transaction, but the price is always a little higher. Get them at the game if you want to save money. I paid $50 a few minutes before game time four years ago for pretty decent seats. Good luck.
