I'm no math/stats geek like some of those CS guys ;)
However, Pomeroy predicted a 84-63 win, so my simple analysis is that Marquette played better both offensively and defensively than they were expected to. I expect a rise from our #11 pomeroy ranking when the numbers are crunched tomorrow.
But I'm sure one of those CS stats geeks will have some better analysis than that.
I'm a big fan of your logic since that's how I look at pomeroys projections as well haha.
MU moved up to #10 from #11 on Pomeroy's ratings, and up to the #19 defense from #24. Offense stayed the same at #10.
