Just calls soo many fouls.
the Jim Joyce of NCAA MBBall refs
He missed the hardest foul of the game. Higgins, hightower, and him all feel the need to steal the spotlight.
I truly think he revels in being the home crowd's pantomime villain. I wish he'd never ref a game at the BC for the rest of his career.
Burr officiating this game almost assures he will be the ref for the game Saturday at UW. Seeing him there tonight made me sick to my stomach, as I'm sure he will screw us over left and right on Saturday....after his debacles last year at the Big East tourney, I thought they would make him retire.
How Jim Burr doesn't get voted off the island is beyond me.
I'd really love to know the Big East's system on hiring, firing, and evaluation of refs.

the Jim Joyce of NCAA MBBall refs
Not entirely true. MLB players have voted Jim Joyce the best ump in baseball, despite his big error. On the other had Jim Burr is well.......
Yep. Jim Joyce is one of the best who happened to make his rare mistake in a critical moment. Jim Burr just sucks.
This is the ref team that did the Georgetown/Kansas game. They do not watch bigmen feet, which allowed Georgetown to get away with about 10 travels. They also call fouls on for using hands. Both items are bad for MU vs UW. Although, I suspect with UW's outside game we will not see their bigmen taking many uncalled steps.
How is Jim Burr still employed as a referee? This is just, there aren't even words.
My bad, not Jim Joyce, Jim Burr = Joe West
a ref X might not be better than ref Y, but no ref is actually biased no matter how badly we want to b---h about them

Biased or influenced? There is a difference. Neither, particularly positive.

Says you. An NBA ref was able to make $ betting on games by knowing that certain refs dislike certain star players. Why would you assume that isn't the case in college?
