Sources here in Michigan are reporting that W. Virginia will be in a market for a new coach.
If this proves to be true, it's obviously a great hire by the Wolverines. Beilein can flat out coach and it'll be fun watching him match wits with Izzo, Matta, Sampson, Altman, Weber and Ryan.
The Big 10 has definitely upped the coaching ante in the last few years.
Big loss for the Big East if this proves true.
Go Warriors.
West virginia better hire a coach that runs an offense similar to beilien's. that roster is hand-picked to win using beilien's style. not sure how well they could play in a non "gimmick" offense. maybe gimmick is the wrong word. unorthodox might work better. basically, all their bigs can;t play in the post, so if anyone tried to run offense through the low block, it would be a disaster, at least for the first couple years. it's too bad really for WVU, they returned almost all of their talent outside of frank young, and could have done some damage next year.
would be a great hire for WVU
Gregg would be an outstanding hire. Though, he will have roster issues as noted earlier in this thread.

I dont know......his Winthrop teams ran, pressed and ran some more - - he did not have an offense built around the post. A perfect fit
Gregg Marshall would be a great hire, no question.
But, to me, there is only one person the WVU administration should target as Plan A:
Bob Huggins.
WVU is his alma mater, and he almost left Cincinnati for the Mountaineers job after Gale Catlett retired. Instead, they got Beilein (actually they got Dan Dakich from Bowling Green but that fell through shortly thereafter. I'd say WVU benefited from how it all shook out). Would Huggins leave K-State to return to his alma mater? He has already assembled a foundation of what's sure to be a dynamite team in a year or two, with Michael Beasley coming in. I'm not sure he would turn around and leave after one season. Will be interesting to see who WVU targets in their search.
The Big East refused to allow Huggins to coach at Cincy, and would refuse to allow him to coach at WVU. They recognize him for what he is. Only other slimeballs like Mike Slive would allow him to coach in a conference.

Nurse Nancy was the reason why Huggins wasn't back.
Nurse Nancy was influenced by commish Mike
Strongs rumors suggesting Huggy is off to WVU
to kick KSU in the short hairs after they took a chance and resurrected him from the dead. Shows you again that money talks and bullshit walks.
4Ever, I don't often agree with you; but, you would have this one right.
I don't disagree with you 4ever, I would only add that WVU is his alma mater and this is the only program I can see him doing this for at this point.
As a KU alum, it makes me shed a tear as well knowing the mildcats will continue to suck hard. :)
