17-5 10:43 O quinn on bench with 2 fouls

MU in the bonus at the 10 miute mark
22-11 8:49
can someone please give me the link to the radio feed with mac and homer? I'm internet challenged.
nevermind found it
27-11 7:23 to go. Time out NFSU.
27-11. DJO coming out shooting, rest of team is bricking everything from outside.
29-15 NSU in a zone D
I dont think we have scored in the last 5 minutes or more
31-21 1:05
Been sloppy with TO's the last 5 min
33-24 MU looks a little confused. Terrible officials, late on many calls. This is a different game for sure.

Seemed like the guys acted like the game was over. Had a chance to push it to 20, and then just went away from what got the big lead. Defense also became sloppy.
Frankly, I think Buzz is happy to have this happen. Good coaching opportunity early in the season.
Norfolk's zone completely disrupted our offense. It looks like we haven't practiced against one. High post/foul line is wide open. Also, Norfolk completely committed to getting back and stopping the transition. Finally, Blue flashed back to his freshman year by making a brain dead help, leaving his man for a wide open 3

Yeah, that play at the end of the half confused me as well. Stay on your man. Help d there does nothing. Cadougan had him covered.
First four minutes of the second half will be big. I'll be curious to see if we re-establish ourselves and put the foot back on the throat, or if we let up and let them get back in the game.
Zone defense again hurting MU, just like last year.
Do opposing teams always drop those halftime bombs????????
Jamail Jones missed two wide open threes.
Jamil Wilson looks lost again, three fouls and one real bad shot.
Vander scoreless??? I know he missed two 3's.
NSU to keep zone, look for Mayo to have more minutes.
It looked like Norfolk was content to let anyone other than DJO and Jae shoot from range, while attempting to take away anything inside.
And that is the kind of stupid 3 that nobody ever makes except against us. 6'10" guy shooting a 35 footer? Whatever
Blue is really playing poorly. Crowder is having a tough day.
Were these guys drinking pina coladas all day? My God this is abysmal.
Blue isn't playing well tonight. No patience on offense and not moving well on defense either. Mayo is in now.
Really sloppy passes. Otule with a couple of "gems". Blue and Mayo with poor passes. Still, a 10 point lead. As I stated earlier, Buzz is probably happy to have a game like this.
Crowder doing OK. Keeping up his defense.
That was some 3-pointer by O'Quinn.

Wow, two turnovers by Blue in 3 seconds. That was it for him. Then Otule turnover, the Mayo turnover.
But two quick baskets and breathing room, for now. Ugly

A game like this and a week's worth of practice ahead.
41-31 14:29 to go,. Blue out, Juan A. in, which shows you how thrilled Buzz is with Vander.

Offensively, Crowder is struggling. Especially after a 25 point night. 3-7, some weak passes. MU needs more from him.
On cue, Jae buries a 3. 44-33.

And now another. Just to show me! ;D That's what we needed.
Now Mayo with another REALLY BAD play. MU gives back 4 of the 6 that Crowder made.
Put Blue on the plane NOW
Take Vander out.Play Anderson.
Wow, Crowder hits two bombs, go up 14, then two turnovers, a missed layup by Blue and foul by Otule.
Very sloppy, but Otule on d has been great

I'll say it again... He just isn't that good.
I'm really going to miss Jae and DJO. I have little confidence in Vander's ability to shoot the ball. He's playing out of control, trying to be superman (1 on 3-4).
We need Jamil to start being the heir apparent to Jae. Then this team will be goooood...
...if they learn to beat the press, then Final Four here we come!
This game is a true white knuckled seeing how they're playing and Jae in foul trouble.
We knew we would have a poor shooting game at some point. And now Crowder has three fouls. The poor passing surprises me.
Man, for a guy his size, Otule misses far too many bunnies.
This is ridiculous
52-52. 5 minutes to go. Zone killing us,
How about a time out Buzz when cut to four. How about a timeout when down two? How about tied???????
Tied up-Awful
Cadougan makes some really mysterious passing decisions from time to time. Let's see who steps up. Crowder and DJO have missed some shots to quell the storm. Time to step up in a game like this, when they are needed.
It's not the zone killing us.....it's poor execution. Time for senior leadership to step up.
There's a fire alarm, this is crazy
Get ready for a season long's worth of zone. Smh
Davante has the knack of drawing the fouls. We need him to foul out O'Quinn.
NSU has the perfect recipe: hunker down and watch the likes like Vanderbilt shoot from outside. DISASTER.
Let's go MU.
Tied game

Ups and downs is right. He lacks shooting form
Blue has tons of talent. Tonight he is wreck. Buzz has him in again. Oh nooooo :)

Sure. But the way I see it, he has had an up and a ton of downs.
I don't understand why Blue is even in at this point.
I am ready to throw up right now...maybe we don't have a JFB
Nice steal Blue -- now I understand why he's in.
Kudos to Blue. Killer steal. 'Bout time

He made a heck of a pass to Gardner on the prior possession as well.

FREE THROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(

It's the 4th game on his soph year. Most frosh. have more downs than ups.
I think expectations from some of you guys are just a little skewed.
He's a nice player with good potential.
Well that was nerve racking
oh my, thank goodness
Ugly, but a win is a win I guess.
There ya no. No worries...
cut down the nets put up the banner. :o
Finally a game worth watching. TV guys still sucked.
DJO makes two and it is over......but. Been there and done that before.
That was a complete mess win, but a win.
STOG - good luck with that.
Congrats team on tournament champs.

With that bizarre "jump shot," and it's the weirdest form I've ever seen (timing could not be more off), his potential is severely limited. I don't understand how the coaching staff can let him continue to shoot that way.
This is what happens when you play a team twice in a matter of days.
Luckily Mu gets the win! :)
Its a win in the first game that the offense failed to show up.
WOW! Good D at the end there! Good thing that guy has size 14 shoes. Scary finish.
DJO missed a FT but was pretty steady throughout.
Crowder very important to this team. Jamil needs to learn from him for next year.
Blue needs to stop forcing his shots.
59-57 at the end.

I can't really disagree, it's ugly.
I have to assume the coaches are ok with him shooting like that. I don't think he will ever be a great shooter... but he really doesn't need to be.
He just needs to shoot it well enough to keep teams honest and he can be effective.

Very true. He was a five star kid. I was expecting that he would comfortable with a layup and he is not. Great defense though. Got to him him that
Despite his issues, he made some nice plays toward the end of the game. He fought through it, which is something he didn't do last year.

You will enjoy watching him more if you just forget his high school stuff. None of that matters. None. Zero.
Just watch him now, and see what you think. I think he's a pretty good soph. with potential to be a very good college player.

No he didn't. I don't call pickin up a loose ball and passing it to someone for a dunk a nice play. And his defense isn't that great. D wilson's defense is way better. Keep making excuses for him, he's a below average player. He may be a slightly above average player by his senior year.

How about the pass to Gardner to give us the lead again? Or are you just one of those people who will never give credit to Blue?

He is ok. It is just frustrating to see how much he struggles on offense:finishing around the basket, shooting, and decision making. I see the physical ability but the offensive skill is so low.

I fully acknowledge that he's a bit of an enigma. No doubt.
However, it seems like a lot of people are silent when he plays well, and LOVE piling on when he doesn't.

No one was lighting it up tonight; Blue will be just fine, and I suspect Buzz had him in at the end for a reason. It was a bad game all around, and the best thing to do is move on and don't look back.

I'll give credit where credit is due. The kid is really athletic. He just doesn't know how to use it yet. Around this time last year, I would have never thought Junior would be a better offensive player than Blue but he is. Hopefully, he just keeps at. he is going to continue to frustrate me because he is no where remotely close to how good he could be.

You're right... but neither is Jamil Wilson, Jamail Jones or even Gardner (who still looks lost on defense).
I just hate to see several people pile on a kid who is 4 games into his soph. year. We are smarter than that. We know player develop at different rates.
C'mon people.

Part of that is the fact that he hasn't been a model citizen at MU (understatement of the year) and is hard to root for, in all honesty.

I guess I get that...
If he was scoring 40pts per game, he'd probably be "forgiven".
I guess that's just life.
