One of my buddies told me Wade is going to UIC for ESPNs homecoming. Tickets onsale tomorrow at 10am. Has anyone heard anything else?

LeBron has been in wade's ear way too much. This is the sort of self-aggrandizing reserved for an ill-advised ESPN special. But it's "for charity" so he gets let off the hook? Pass.
I just hope people stick around and spend some money in my neighborhood.
People pay to see them... it is what they are good at. Much better than basketball players playing softball. DWade moves a lot of money around the world directly and indirectly. No need to hate just because you can't stand Lebron. At the end of the day he's a performer and he gets paid well because he's 1 of the top 3 at what he does in the world. He has shown he can be the best individually and as part of a team.

Can you raise "Wade-like" money for charity?
Have you heard of other players doing the same?
Such a high profile person will get ridiculed...I get that, but dude CHILL!
Fair points. I just see this production as "I need some attention" and "please continue buying my jersey." I have no problem with LeBron, DW or anyone and their craft. As much as I have no interest in the NBA, they are great at what they do. My opinion here is this is another case of a celebrity using charity for branding purposes and getting crowned #1 human for bouncing a ball, acting in a film, singing a song.

I retract my comments. You are correct. If they can sing a song or bounce a ball for the good of others, then they not only should but they have my support. I'll just leave it at that.
