Where are they now? Warriors Abroad
Written by: Andrei Greska
Editor's Note: This is the first installment of what we hope becomes a regular feature to Paint Touches. Warriors Abroad will focus on the goings-on of former Marquette players in their professional basketball careers. It will be a nice neat ... For those of you that read it, (thank you) but I have two Q's.
Was the layout too ugly/difficult to follow?
What would you like to be included? (Pictures, more links, different players?)
I thought it was easy to follow, and a fun, quick 10-minute time waster (a good thing for me who sits behind a computer at work). Pictures would be nice, but might be hard to find for some of them. A link to the NBA page of stats for the NBA guys might be a good touch, as I instead opened a new tab and Googled the team to find their roster.
I like the layout and the job you guys are doing. The one thing I would like would be a link to a MU highlight video for each of these guys would add some context for people that don't follow the team too closely. It would be neat to get 8+ years of quick-hitting MU highlights on one page :)
It would be neat to beef up this list over time, honestly. Following up with each of the players, especially the ones that are hanging around MU/the area a lot like Novak and Terry Sanders, for a "fav MU moment/what are you up to" chat. I saw RJax at the game on Monday, so he must not be too far away from the program.
I would think it would be fun to follow up with the older guys, plus it would give you something to do over the off-season :)
Add a link to Grimm's blog?

Also, it would be great to have as a regular section that would be updated annually or as necessary, instead of a blog post that will be pushed off the page by more recent posts.
Nice work.
Nice work. Great new site!
maybe fitz's blog should be called ..

I like it, but personally I think your time might be better spent updating all their MUScoop wiki pages.
I might be slightly biased though....

Ouch - I hope thats not all you remember about him.
Good player - even better 'guy'.
Maybe being drafted in the first round was not such a good deal for Butler. He may of went overseas, if he was drafted in the second round. To be so close and not making any money is tough.

Uh... There's a link on the Novak page for the Geico Top 10 Shooters.

It kind of takes you to a really different type of shooting. So yeah, the wiki could use an update.
Really NSFW, and probably not safe for anyone really.
Great site; keep up the good work.
I'm not sure that I knew DB made a D league roster.

He was just drafted on November 3rd by the Tulsa 66'ers with the 5th pick in the 2nd Round....21st overall.
Great Job with this site. I didn't know Dom James was on twitter.
Also pretty cool to see that a lot of the players are seeing success overseas.
No way that Joe Chapman picture is Joe Chapman, BTW.

I think the other picture is Fabulous Flournoy. Great name.
Nice update BTW.
Great feedback guys. Really appreciate it.
I put pictures in for all the players as well as a link to the MU Wiki just for you Rocky (and also because it was a really good idea for those of us that never got to watch players like Chapman play). I linked to a video of each player back at Marquette in the remember when section, just for kicks. I also put a heading on the main page so you can always find the most recent blog post, no matter how buried it is.
Speaking of Chapman, I'm 100% sure I have the correct photo this time. Sorry for the confusion.
One more thing, if you click on the photo of the NBA players it takes you to their ESPN career stats section. A little added bonus for the loyal scoopers.
If you have any more ideas I'm open for anything.

I still think it should be called Whistled For A Moving Screen.
That picture of Ooze is insane. Looks like he's dunking on an 8 foot hoop.
Ahhhhhh...Ooze. Loved that guy. His trademark reverse lay-up was awesome.

Absolutely, we would bet on the over/under of how long it would take Grimm to get called for a moving pick once he entered the game. Usually it was within a minute or two.

Dick.
Mike Kinsella is no longer playing professional ball. He had a knee injury sometime in the 09-10 season while playing in eastern europe. He came back to the states for rehab. This was the last surgery/rehab stint he wanted to go through so he hung up his professional shoes. Now lives in Milwaukee and works in sales for a local sign company.

I think the best part about him was how happy he was to be a part of this team and this University. Always looked to be having a blast on the court and if you ever ran into him on campus, you wouldn't meet a more upbeat and pleasant guy. Just a great overall dude.

OK, that's fixed, but I keep trying to remind everyone that their MUScoop login works to login and edit the wiki. So you could have fixed it in less time than it took to post about it!

Lazar was the same way. Real friendly, down to earth.
