Anyone got a link?
Maybe someday the leadership of the MU Ath Dept will recognize that they have more alumni and fans nationally than those that only live in the Milwaukee market, and do something about improving access to games via their TV scheduling or internet links.
What good does it do to only put our games on TV for free in Milwaukee where MU can sell tickets? At least they should negotiate or set up a game internet link. Someone please tell me again about the great TV package that MU Ath Dept negotiated?
They sold the rights to Time Warner Sports to produce and broadcast. Since the only way the game would get broadcast would be if TWS produced it, they get exclusive rights on those games. They choose who can broadcast it. Now this game seems more like SNY and MSG decided not to pick it up, but those are the rules.
Not to mention that its Norfolk State on November 14. If this were a BE game in February, I would understand...
I will gladly accept a link somewhere on here or directly messaged to me so that I can enjoy watching our guys win by 40+ ;D

Sounds cheap.
If it's any consolation, we just have to make it through this year... after MU wins the NCAA tournament in March, all their games will be nationally televised next year.

That is exactly the point. "They" who sold/granted the rights to TW did a lackluster negotiating job. They hadn't thought it through regarding the entire fan base... at least have an internet link via gomarquette. They messed up... our MU Ath Dept professionals didn't think it through or negotiate effectively to the benefit of the fan base and alumni.
Also, it is irrelevant logically re the marquee status of the game. Fans like to see their team, regardless of who the opponent is. Do it right MU. We're BE - we're big time.
I've been a season ticket holder for many years but can't make the 120 mile round trip tonight. After seeing the Fri night game, I'm hot to see more. Don't get the "thats the way it is - thats the rules" acceptance. I think "they" have screwed up in this area and I am disappointed... anybody found a link to watch tonight please?

If MU goes to Time-Warner with a "take it or leave it" attitude, the alternative here is that Time-Warner simply says "no" and chooses not to broadcast
any games. Now the Wisconsin subscribers have been screwed over because MU wanted better access for two meaningless, OOC games.
Yes. Exactly. When you schedule crap games against a Packers Monday night football appearance, you don't have a lot of options available. That's why the caiber of opponent matters.

Since the ""they"" -- that the MU "they" were negotiating with -- obviously didn't want the Norfolk game included, the question becomes: Just how much do you think Marquette should have paid to have the game televised to please its fan base? And the obvious corollary question is: How much would have been willing to pay for a pay per view for this game? Sixty bucks?

Sorry Benny but it is a supposition on your part about the "attitude." You are talking opposite polar attitudes by both the grantor of the rights and the media outlet. Obviously both parties have interest and benefit... not take-it-or-leave-it attitudes in negotiation. "They" put the Buzz Williams Show, done by TW, on GoMarquette. Why not broadcast the TW production of some games through GoMarquette.com. You know Benny, come with an "attitude" after the major deal is done of, btw, we need to get coverage of some games through our site... it is called negotiating. Why are you an apologist? BTW, what about all the eastern Wisconsin corridor fans that are disenfranchised even though TW is not in their tv coverage area? "They" have been short-sighted and could have done better... anybody got a link?....any justin TV or anything?
I imagine a law-talking guy can explain this, but one thing I don't understand is .. why wouldn't TWC32 have a streaming site? You can use ustream and Justin.tv for free .. broadcast the video with commercials, might as well reach the maximum amount of people.

I'm sure there will be a link closer to game time.
As has been mentioned, MU v NF St. is probably going to be a low ratings and probably not worth televising... especially when up against MNF.

Not difficult or legal-talking. TW32 does not need to stream. No big deal about how much MU would pay for it. Simple. MU through gomarquette.com could stream the production of the game shown in Milwaukee, including the commercials. The parallel is the fact that gomarquette streams the TW production of the Buzz Williams show. I don't see why this is so difficult to understand. It was just overlooked by MU when they
did the deal.
I guess I am the only MU fan in the world who can't be in the BC tonight (season ticket holder) and would like to see the game... anybody got a link??? (I'm not that deep into internet search about other links...which is why I always watch here or ask about links... appreciate our fan base help)

Before this deal was signed, there were many games this early in the season which were not ever broadcast. In this deal, MU got every home game televised - for the first time in their history. Also, when this deal was brokered, streaming was still not what it is today. Hell, even 2 years ago streaming wasn't what it is today. My guess is that future rights deals will have things that have to do with digital broadcasts, but for now, looks like you SOL. Tough cookies and quit whining like a spoiled brat.
Wasn't the Paradise Jam going to stream their games on their own? And for a fee of like 7-8 bucks? Their website says, "CHECK BACK SOON FOR NEW VIDEO!" (http://www.paradisejam.com/paradise-jam-live/)
Also, I could have sworn that this was discussed in another thread.

My bad, these two teams are in the Jam but are playing different dates than Nov 14. Also, their website would benefit from a more organized and updated layout.
CoachRaymondsClass-

What the hell... the MU game link on that site is gone now... WTF?!
any update on this anyone?
It looks like the justintv link is working, but possibly only till the packers game starts
I'm gettin' TW 32 now on justin link. Thanks guys. I am not a whiner as someone countered earlier. Just a long time fan. Much appreciate your help with links.
My frustration was/is that this shouldn't be hard. In my next life, I'm gonna get a job working for a U in sports mgmt..Apparently there is very little accountability... in my marketing world we're expected to improve constantly, and it's about what have you done for me today. Thanks for all you old timers telling me I should be happy because in the good old days we hardly ever got games. That is not the way it works today... in cyber commo, MU ought to move as quickly, if not faster than other. Enoughh - GO MARQUETTE!
I still don't see it as a link for justin.tv. what is the title for it? Is it somewhere else besides the "Sports" channel?
Nevermind got it ;D
So far so good.
