Nothing here that we didn't already know but thought people might be interested in some of the other uni-related news around the country:

Nice to get a shout out. Glad we're not going gray.
I really love the McGuire watermark
Looks like gray is in this year.
Looks like Georgia Southern and VCU are also rocking the checkered side paneling like MUBB does. IMITATION IS THE SINCEREST FORM OF FLATTERY.
Michigan State's camo's for the game Friday are nice........
...and North Carolina's are, well, UN-NICE. Probably just the colors for Sparty match up way better for camo than UNC's baby blue.
Man, that Paul Lukas has one hell of a mug
Love Uni-Watch. I still hate MU's design for the back of the jerseys. Could be worse.
Ugliest: Xavier
Most Boring: Penn State

Seems like they're stealing our colors... They are kind of neat though.

I liked Xavier's a lot actually, but I generally like when teams try something different with their uniforms.
I may be in the minority, but I like our old jerseys better.

The new ones are okay - but I tend to think the constant new jersey design devalues "brand equity." Have the Packers, Cowboys, Yankees, Indiana, Kentucky, etc., of the world changed their uniforms much at all??
Just like good companies don't rebrand their logos, I tend to think sports teams always redoing their uniform smacks of desperation. Okay, maybe not desperation, but rather...more of a "our product isn't good enough so we have gimmick with the appearance of the product."
Butler finally has moved on from hideous.
VCU's shorts look like ours.
The only thing I dont like on the new jerseys beside the watermark is the blue stripes on the side that are noticable on the front.
What is the deal with some of those teams wearing the "Jordan" logo on their jerseys... I thought those were reserved for us, UNC Georgetown ext.
See Bryant ext. I know a few other ones have it as well...
Loved the old-school Xavier uni's.

I would tend to agree with you here but Marquette is known for continuously changing their look, and having different and unique uniforms.

I would say yes during the Al McGuire years and into the early 80s. Then MU's jerseys became bland until 07-08. Converse did a massive overhaul from the generic Nike jerseys.

That's gray, but it looks kinds light bluish in that photo.
Xaiver's jerseys are awesome.

I do like the shoulders better in the older jersey. I don't like how it was really thick and heavy compared to the new ones (it seems to me that there's more ventilation)
Love the Xavier scrimmage jerseys...hope they can work them into a game jersey in the future.

Revenue generation. Constant refresh means new purchases. It's all good. As mentioned in a previous post MU has a tradition of reddeigning unis. Al went to work as Chairman of San Knit (sp??) , the company that produced MU unis in 70s, after retiring.

There you go tearing the program apart again. Why don't you follow your boy to Bloomington and bask in all the brand equity there?
The nerve of some people...I thought this was supposed to be a board for FANS of Marquette basketball.
....but for real, loved the old jerseys, torn on the changes.
